Cleaning the pet fountain was a struggle until I got the specific cleaning kit. The kit has tools that fit prfectly in all nooks and crannies. It's worth the investment clean fountain and happy pets.

Having cleaned the fountain for a year without this kit, I didn't really need it but I would recommend it for anyone buying the Drinkwell Fountain, as it makes cleaning easier.

I purchased these cleaning brushes to better clean the fountain filter. They do help. If you have bottle cleaning accessories and don't mind using them on your pet fountain, these brushes are probably redundant for you.

While i probably could have used other brushes to clean the fountain this set works great to get into all the little spaces that are hard to reach. A good investment for keeping the fountain going for our furbabies.

I skipped the purchase of a cleaning kit when I purchased a Drinkwell fountain years ago, but am glad I decided to buy this cleaning kit with my recently-purchased fountain. These are high-quality brushes, NOT made in China, and are all you need to adequately clean your pet fountain...

It's nice to have dedicated brushes for my fountain. I really only use the large brush and the small brush. The small brush is perfect for cleaning the pump and all the small pieces. If you have a straw cleaner you could also use that, but I found the small brush in this pack to be more sturdy and do a much better job at cleaning the "gunk" out of the pump.

I bought this specifically for the “tiny” cleaning brush to get hard to hard to reach places. The “tiny” brush is made of a thick metal that is bent at the top. And there are no bristles at the top. All I’m doing is scraping a metal pole against the motor parts. And because of the thickness of the metal it can’t even get in the edges and corners of the motor pieces. I’ll go back to using q-tips which aren’t the best but work better than this.
