motors and remote controllers to play with it

Nice build
The build was somewhat challenging but I like that. The finished set looks great. I'm getting ready to walk mount it. The instructions could be better. What I didn't like was when there were subassemblies that had a left and a right the first one built was always for the side of the car you couldn't see. What I ended up doing was building for both sides and installing the side I could see first

I thoroughly enjoyed this build, watching the car emerge from the build is fascinating. It’s faithful to the original, with the complexity of the engine, suspension, front and rear wings really coming over to the builder This is the second large F1 car I have built, the build and the finish of each car is totally different reflecting the different design / race years. I highly recommend this excellent build…..

Fun build
A very relaxing, technical build; varying in complexity from large structure pieces to small complex subassemblies. Livery decals are as close as possible to the real thing in terms of design without being ultra realistic for any particular point in time. They are easy to apply and blend in almost like paint. I'm very happy with the way they look and function. Some reviewers say that the car isn't smooth enough, but come on, it's Lego; you're building with square blocks trying to duplicate compound curves. The finished car is blocky in appearance, but then it's supposed to be. It's as accurate as it can be, representation of the real thing. With 1400+ pieces the kit was well put together and packaged. While the build was stalled for 5 weeks by 2 missing pieces and further delayed by 1 other piece that was not molded correctly, it was still an enjoyable project. I will probably be waiting another 5 weeks for the piece that was malformed to finish the build, but that's okay.

If you're a racing fan, don't pass this up
If you're a fan of racking, F1, or even interested in more complex LEGO sets, this build has appeal, style, and fun; plus it looks amazing on display alongside other Technic race cars. Highly detailed building instructions provide a clear pat from the first piece to the last. Some of the expanded views will help ensure the right component fits accurately. I used the online portal for the first time on this build and I'll definitely keep using that feature.

Brilliant!
I loved this build! This is a very intricate, well-organized Technic build. The colors are fantastic and the finished product is very satisfying. What more could you expect from LEGO and McLaren?! I know some builders don’t like stickers but these are excellent and very high quality. Honestly, the stickers are so nice that they very much add to the overall quality of this build. I highly recommend for both Technic builders and F1 fans alike!

Exceptional kit
Build was a lot of fun, and is not overly challenging but requires focus. Took me about two five hour sessions to complete. Instructions were not confusing and all parts were present. Great looking addition for any car hobbyist, scale is large and stunning, definitely recommend.

Tell you how fun it was to build, but my son took it from me and went to town. He had so much fun putting this together and I had an even better time witnessing his creation. I am a McClaren F1 fan, so this was a natural choice...for me. In fact, given that the price has gone down, I may buy another one so I CAN HAVE MY OWN AND NOT HAVE TO SHARE WITH MY SON. :)
