Quality reminiscent of mid early 2000s phone camera
Camera quality is shockingly poor. My $35 Wyze camera has vastly superior quality (day and night) compared to the vtech. Extremely disappointed as I only tested it after child was born a few months later and so past the return window. Wish I would be reimbursed. Quality is so poor for the price that I feel it would be unethical to try to resell the camera online for even $35. Photos for reference - the good ones are Wyze displayed on my phone. The interface is OK.

Dont buy!
This broke after less than 6 months. I can't connect and even though it is under warranty vtech won't help us. I can't believe we spent so much money to be left without a monitor. Worst purchase I've made in a long time.

we have owned for less than a year the nightlight won't stay off, multiple other people online have reported this issue night vision malfunctions repeatedly, leading to clicking noises customer support is a garbage chat bot that only has preselection.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best baby monitor I have ever had, the picture is clear and crisp, it has great night vision for dark rooms, the sound is clear and has good volume controls, I use this even outside in my backyard so the range is very good. I love how secure this makes me feel, and I am so happy to have a tool that helps me keep an eye on my baby.

Nice features, but disconnects often
The picture is okay and I like the features on it, but it constantly disconnects from the monitor screen for no reason. There is no remedy to fix it quickly either, it just starts working again randomly. Would not recommend.

Disconnect Constantly
Like others have said, it disconnects constantly and in the middle of the night or early morning. Most of the time my baby is actually sleeping well, but I have to get up to unplug the camera and plug it back in to get it to reconnect. Support already sent me a "new one" but after 3 months it's now disconnecting frequently AGAIN, 3 times in one night; 12am, 2am, 430am!!!!

OK... for a while
Got this new as a baby shower gift. Monitor was decent for a year (lost signal occassionally, but a reboot would fix the problem), but then just got stuck on the startup screen one evening. Nothing will make it work now and Vtech support just said "Sorry - you're out of the one year warranty; go buy a new one." You will want your baby monitor to last more than a year. Don't buy Vtech.

Do Not Buy This Monitor
This is one of the worst products I have ever bought in my entire life. The unit constantly disconnect and it's never the same issue. It always happens at the most inopportune times such as right after going to sleep or in the middle of the night. The direct connect signal does not work across our home. I have reached out to their support team multiple times and never been happy with the results.

Awful to the point of dangerous
The monitor feed comes in and out, but most of the time it is so pixelated we cannot see our babies features clearly. This happens even in the room over from our baby. The feed is so horrible it is dangerous.

The picture is very clear and has great night vision. I wish I had this monitor with my first son. I would definitely recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the large 7" screen and the video quality is very clear and easy to see. The tilt/pan options allow you to see a large amount of space. I like using the screen over the app as it just takes up precious space on my phone but it is nice for when I am away from home. I prefer closed systems over wifi for security reasons but think this is a great option while away from your house.

I found the dashboard/control handheld difficult to figure out and needing to restart often to get the best usage. I loved the ability to move the camera around and sound/night vision was great. If they fix the app, this would be a 5 star.

Wish we would of had from the start
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I had a very similarly branded one before this monitor, and it actually recently stopped working. I wish I would have gone with vtech from the start! Like holy cow, it is so simple and streamlined your mom and dad and whoever can figure it out. The giant screen is BEAUTIFUL and crisp, and the picture is great. We have a toddler now, so we move this around the house where we need it because he gets into everything, and it is so helpful. We can also drop it off at the grandparents' house on those rare occasions and it's not a problem getting set up. It's so easy and feels very high quality. VTech is just a brand name you can trust and I won't be making the mistake of going with another brand again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was a bit difficult to get set up/ started. Monitor didn’t want to connect to camera and couldn’t shut up monitor until it connected to camera. Offers great features and camera swivels to show whole room easily. Big screen monitor for easy viewing. Two way talk is also a nice thing to have. With WiFi can be anywhere in house or yard as the range isn’t limited. Battery lasts fairly long and can see well even in black room. The kickstand for the monitor doesn’t actually hold the monitor up is one other failing. Overall decent product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor is awesome! It has an incredibly huge screen with even more incredible zoom features! (From fisheye view to 24x zoom). The night vision is optional. The features are another incredible addition. It has a plethora of options you can chose from sounds, lights, lullabies, songs, and even different types of alerts. The battery life of the monitor is good, not incredible but understanding it’s a huge monitor makes a difference. Overall, this product is incredible!
