Didnt work well
PIcture wasnt great and the camera never connected to the hand held. we had to donate it and get a whole new camera from a different brand. Hard to use was complicated.

Please don’t waste your money or time
When we first started using this monitor, one of the cameras wouldn’t connect with the parent unit right off the bat (first red flag). We didn’t think it was that big of a deal since we just needed one camera to keep an eye on our baby. We got the second camera set up and it worked great for 2 nights. Then in the middle of my baby’s nap, the camera disconnected from the parent unit. I thought it was just a glitch, so I tried reconnecting the camera via the WiFi multiple times. When that didn’t work, we tried switching it to “direct” mode - didn’t work either (second red flag). We tried unplugging our router a few times still thinking it was something on our end that we could fix - still no progress. After a few hours of trying everything suggesting by the troubleshooting videos linked on the VTech website, we gave up. I went to look at other reviews of this system to make sure we weren’t the only ones having these issues, and sure enough multiple people were experiencing the same connectivity problems as us, and their issues wouldn’t resolve either. Long story short, give yourself some peace and please don’t waste your time and money with this monitor.

Good, but could be great
Buttons are easy to use, menu is easy to read and understand. But… the video quality is grainy and takes way too long to calibrate and show the image. The cameras go offline a lot. The tab on the back of the parent monitor already broke off from wear and tear. The screen times out too fast to see what the alert is about; regardless if it’s audio or video alert. Night light colors are great, and so are the sounds it offers.,,,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This VTech video monitor is very convenient. I am able to access on my phone and monitor while at work. My wife can safely leave my daughter in her room while cooking without loosing sight. It also plays soothing sounds, my kids are older but this would have been nice to have when they were babies. The set up was really easy and connecting to my phone with the app was a breeze. The video quality is very good, on the display or over the app. This is very convenient and gives you a sense of ease knowing you can have a eye on your little ones all the time from anywhere.

Horrible connection
Horrible. The phone app is dropping the connection and I’ve had to reconnect too many times. Same with a hand held device, keeps losing connection. I’m returning this item

Awesome features!

The app lets you view your little one from home or remotely from your smart device. The built in night light, soothing sounds, and lullabies are great additional bonuses of this monitor. I absolutely love the temperature sensor feature. It lets you know if the room too cold or hot with an alert so you can make changes to the thermostat. The high definition video is very clear when viewing. I have recommended this monitor to my family and friends.

Simple and effective
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good quality video feed considering I had not connected to my Wi fi network. I have been able to watch my daughter as she sleeps from anywhere throughout the house. Really enjoy this product as the connection has not given me any issues whatsoever and I'm able to watch my daughter from anywhere in the house. Can even connect to Wi-Fi to increase range. Recommend.

I also love that it is enhanced with remote accessibility as well so I don’t have to go play with the screen when I need to focus on something, change viewing, etc. This video montior offers night vision which is a great add on as well! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor has a great camera! It has many great features you didn't know you needed. Unboxing... Opening the box you will find 2 power cords, the camera, the small screen, the mount, screws and the instructions. I went ahead and plugged it all up. The video screen already had 3 bars of charge but I still plugged it in to fully charge. Starting it up... Once on, I went through the options on the screen and I was able to set it up within a few minutes. It was very easy for me. You don't even need to plug into wifi unless you want to see recordings on your phone. But if not, at this point you are all set up. The image is VERY clear on the 5" screen. Once fully charged you're able to unplug the screen and carry it with you throughout the house. At this point you can mount the camera where you want. Extras options... The camera itself has a built in night light with 3 different color options. It also have an option to play different lullaby songs for the baby. It also has a 2 way talk option. So if you're anywhere else in the house, you're able to talk to your baby. Also has a temperature sensor. All these options and extras can be managed through the portable screen. Overall, this is a great baby monitor. It helps keep an eye on the baby while running around the house and it's very easy to use.

Easy to use, and must have for newborns

We were really excited to get this, because not only can we hear it has a good sized screen with night vision to help us know what is going on. It works wirelessly and a set up is super easy. I have purchased V-tech products for years, and always found them to be well-built.

Aloes you to take with you on the go and not have to worry when someone is baby sitting. The monitor is portable and the size of a cell phone. Perfect video quality. Recommend making sure your WiFi is set up well.

Having a baby monitor that I can see and hear from my phone is such a game change! No more worries about being too many rooms away from the camera to stay connected.
