A: That's a great question! The term "alcohol" can mean different things on a label as not all alcohol is created the same. Simple alcohols (ie ethanol, isopropyl, methanol), the ones that get a bad rep for drying out skin are different from fatty alcohols (ie cetearyl, cetyl), which are beneficial, or aromatic alcohols which are components of the product's fragrance. Palmer's Body Oils do not contain simple alcohols. Any of our body oils that have a fragrance will contain aromatic components as listed on the ingredient label. I struggled for a few years with horribly dry flaky skin. So bad I'd leave skin on everything. It was gross! I tried everything. Exfoliating, moisturizer, coconut oil, olive oil. I was determined to get to the bottom of it and draw from my childhood brands. I came across the shae butter formula. The first few applications soothed the itchy dry redness on my arms. I use it qbout 2x a week now and my skin has calmed down and feels so much better. Highly recommend!

This is amazing! It’s the first body oil I’ve used that doesn’t feel sticky when I put it on. I love the Equate Cocoa Divine Oil and the Vaseline counterpart, but I really love how this oil soaks in and doesn’t feel sticky. I also get more product than those as well.

My daughter bought this 2 weeks ago and soon after applying it after her shower, she erupted in hives and a severe itchy rash all over her body. She was on antihistamines and medication to stop the lesions that are all over still. What kind of chemical is in this, that would cause such a reaction?

I have extremely dry skin that cracks and looks old quick (and I’m not old). Lotions just don’t do it for me in the winter months. This rejuvenates my skin quickly and truly lasts 24 hours. All day and no need to re-apply like lotion.

My skin is dry normally, but winter skin is worse. I was expecting an oily residue, but was so pleasantly surprised how the oil went right into my skin! Definitely will continue using this fabulous oil! So hydrating and the oil is not “oily” to saturate clothing. Love that! I agree with another reviewer that the packagaing could be improved, the cap seems to drip a little around the edge when pouring it out.
