Kryptonite U-Lock Bicycle Lock & Cable - 12mm: Key Lock, Black, Bike Security

I received the wrong item.

The cable is to short to get both wheels and the U is too small to lock Both a 29" tire and the frame at once. shame on them they could have put an extra foot a cable, allas no.

Unfortunately my bike was stolen after the kryptonite lock was broken. Kind of a fatal design flaw that the thieves could break the lock at the thin bit where it inserts into the head. So it's basically only as secure as a lock that's half the thickness. Therefore I cannot recommend this lock.

I had a kryptonite lock for 20+ years for my first bike and decided to buy a second for a new bike. What a mistake. This new model always takes too long to lock. The pieces don't match well unless you have plenty of space to knock one inside the other. Do NOT recommend

This lock is amazing. It is very well made and has a great quality. It is sturdy and would be very hard for anyone to break. The lock is very easy to put on and locks in seconds. It fits bicycles as well as scooters. I use it on my scooter and it fits perfectly through my front and rear tires. I like that it is not too big which makes easier to store and cary around if needed. I would recommend it.

This lock seems to be very sturdy and made of quality materials EXCEPT for the actual lock itself. Not sure if maybe its user error but the key randomly doesn’t unlock. Takes a couple of shimmies and moving parts to get it to unlock. When it works, its great so like i mentioned it might be user error. As for the accessories the bracket that came with it is a great idea to carry it around unfortunately my bike has the frame too narrow and the lock won’t fit. Not a deal breaker it can still fit in another area but the one where i thought it would it didn’t. Overall a good sturdy lock, I would recommend and will continue using since we bike all over town.

This bike lock works pretty good. It was easy to setup and my son could lock and unlock his bike with ease. It’s sturdy and durable. It’s easy to store and isn’t too bulky that it takes up space. Overall he’s pretty happy with the extra security for his bike now.

We like this lock. It's very strong. We're able to lock up both of our bikes together with it and it feels secure. It is heavy and bulky to carry though, but I guess you need that for it to be effective.

Very sturdy U lock with cable. Have used twice now with no issues. No bike lock is ever 100 percent effective but with this one the crooks will walk on by and choose something easier to steal. I throw in in the basket of my eBike and run down to the grocery store without worrying about whether my bike will still be there when I get back.

Sturdy lock; very easy to use. The U portion (the “shackle”) is easy to attach to a bike rack or pole or whatever you are locking your bike to. The cable is a nice additional bit of security. I also use the cable to attach my helmet (through a closed loop - not the part that buckles obv) and anything else I can hook on there that I don’t want to lug around. I think you’d have to be a very determined bike theft to get through any of the locks components. 5 stars.

This bicycle lock is tough! It's super heavy duty. It's a little on the heavy side. I would recommend you have a backpack or something close to that because it's fairly large. It's a great lock and I would trust it's durability.

Recently 2 of my kids bikes were stolen from my yard so I needed a good lock to secure the rest. This U-lock is perfect! It's heavy duty and even fits around my stairs wodden post. I really like how your able to cover the lock where you insert the key with the slide of a button. I don't knos how many times I've used a chain where the rain rust the lock and I have to cut the chain off completely to get my bike out.

Kryptonite standard you lock and cable is the best lack I've ever seen security level is five maximum it has a lifetime warranty it is very well made. You will not need another bike lock kryptonite you lock and cable.

The unlock is heavy duty - no bolt cutter is getting through this. When unlocking the u-lock, the bar slides out of base: one side is curved and other is straight. When putting back together the curved side goes in first. Easy to maneuver, unlock and lock. I didn’t get it at first that the u-lock bar is supposed to go around the frame of the bike and back tire and the cable goes around the front tire, whatever you’re locking bike to and back to the U-lock bar. It is not necessary to use the cable if you don’t want or have the need. The cable has a Velcro attachment to help keep the cable wrapped when not in use. I haven’t added the carrying bracket to my bike yet, but definitely love it he idea of it. My current bike pack will have extra room now since I don’t have to carry lock there. There are two keys that come with. The keys are easy to use as well. Tho lock has the highest security level of this brand, which is 5 Max. This lock also offers an anti theft protection offer should the lock fail (cost is $10 for one year of coverage).

Very sturdy lock. I havent (thankfully) had anyone try to break it but it seems like it should be able to withstand someone trying to cut it. I like that it's not ugly looking & that it isn't incredibly heavy since I'll be putting this on my bike while I ride.

This Kryptonite U-Lock Bike Lock and cable is a very heavy duty bike lock. It comes with a 12 mm cord. I also like that it has a holder that comes with it, so you can keep it on your bike even when not in use. The keys work well and are smooth with insertion and turning. Overall, I am very happy with this and think it will help keep my bike safe while out and about.

This lock is sooo great! It’s way more heavy duty than I initially expected! I was struggling with finding a lock that I felt comfortable leaving my bike with and this didn’t make me feel like it would be easily broken. It’s very user friendly and I highly recommend!
