    No match for a breeze

    This stand was a huge disappointment. I love the design and it appears well made. Unfortunately, it does not have the weight to keep an umbrella secure and in place. Several times it has blown over in a SLIGHT breeze. Today, my Target umbrella fell over again and broke in two places (9mph wind per weather app) IMO, don’t waste your money.

    Sturdy and attractive

    I have purchased other umbrella stands that looked heavy and then turned out to be crap. This one is very sturdy and weighty. Good quality and looks better in person. Holds my umbrella perfectly. Very pleased!

    Got it in hope it holds our umbrella by the pool. It weighed so much thought it would hold. The wind came and blow the close umbrella over. The base is very pretty.

    Great look but it\'s been a pain to keep the umbrella from flying off. I put more weight on the base but still the same effect. The screw hold on the side doesn\'t hold well either.

    Heavy

    I\'m keeping this because it is heavy and will be perfect for our need, but still able to move easy enough. What I\'m not happy with is the finish, to much bronze showing through. You can see what I\'m talking about in the video.

    Cast iron?

    The description gives an impression that the product is cast iron. I could have probably guessed not by the price and weight. The base is composite and the umbrellla tube if im not mistaken appears to be powder coated steel. It seems to do the trick and looks nice. I used it as a base for a lateral shade i mounted for my hot tub.

    Color of base

    The original picture made this base appear to be mostly all black. There is quit a bit of gold/bronze on this base. Very misleading.

    Good for small to mid-sized umbrella in low wind area

    It's fine, sturdy. Although, I paired it with a 9ft umbrella and I wish I would have gotten a heavier base. The umbrella has already blown out of it once in a minor wind storm--by Arizona standards. Would recommend for low wind gust areas and umbrellas in the 7ft range.
