Q: My grandson is 18 months old and 35 pounds. I noticed it says no latch hookup if over 35 pounds rear facing. Does this mean I need to hook up with seat belt rear facing? What weight would I turn him forward and then can I use latches?

  • A: Putting the shoulder belt in the locked/switched mode as the last step is optional. The shoulder belt Lock-Off replaces the need for the locked/switched mode. When the Child Restraint is rear-facing using the locked/switched mode may cause Child Restraint to tilt.

If you need cup holders, DO NOT PURCHASE!

Car seat works like any other. Do not recommend due to the fact that you only get maybe 2-3 months out of the cup holders before they tear apart. Toddlers need cup holders. Replacement cup holders will cost you fifteen dollars a pair. Learn from my mistake as I bought two of these car seats at the same time. All 4 cup holders need to be replaced.

It cost me over $300 and now I have to struggle with this because I didn't realize it before when I bought it.

I bought it for my baby a month ago and I hadn't realized that it was broken in the back part where his head rests, just because he told me he felt uncomfortable.

Great car seat BUT....

I love the concept of the 360 car seat. It is wonderful for convenience, easy to install and transfer between cars (we purchased a base for my husband’s car). The car seat offers great comfort and quality of the material is good. The only con is that the material is not very breathable. My son is always hot and sweaty when I get him out of the seat. If your little one runs warm—please beware.

I love the rotating feature!

I transitioned to this car seat once my child was 2 and it’s been so much easier to get her in and out of the car. She’s still rear facing so I love that we can just use this car seat now & transition her forward facing so easily. She’s big enough to climb In on her own and I’m thankful it allows for some independence since it rotates. It’s so much easier to buckle her in as well. Very thankful for this car seat.

Something about the slope..

My 11 month old hates it. She arches her back and screams the whole way home. Straps are good but something about the slope of the seat makes it uncomfortable but maybe it’s just my kiddo. We went back to her old seat and haven’t had an issue.

Beautiful carseat.

My mother in law bought this for my daughter and I’m amazed by it, it’s a lot nicer than I expected. My daughter fits comfortably in it and it was easy to assemble into my car and easy to assemble all of the necessary adjustments she needed to fit in it correctly. Love that it’s very similar to her other car seat she grew out of which is the same brand.

Love it!

Won’t buy another brand after trying different ones I came back to Chico. They are worth it. This one is perfect for my 2 year old who upgraded out of the infant seat. I know the wear and tear won’t hold up for years but knowing it works every time is worth it. Other brands have threaded through the straps or get stiff and won’t tighten enough. I’ll buy Chicco from now on.

Quality dimished

We owned this seat a few years ago and I re-bought it because I loved the easy latch system before. However the easy latch system was changed, and it isn’t as easy to use and install as it was. Also quality overall dropped considerably. The seat lasted less than a year and the styrofoam in the headrest shattered, I am currently replacing it.

For child's safety Do Not buy.

Car seat not safe! Do not buy. The headrest foam part is faulty and will break or crumble or fall apart sooner or later. I have purchased different brands and never had this issue with other car seats.

Great Buy!

I needed a new carseat for baby #4 as he was growing out of the infant seat. This one was a breeze to install. Took maybe all of 15 minutes from unboxing to door closing. It's not bulky, my child looks comfortable, and the fabric seems durable. I've had Graco 4Evers with all 3 of my others but wanted to switch it up and I'm very glad that I did!

Horrible fabric. Would never recommend again

The car seat itself is great. Seems comfortable and safe. However, the fabric of the seat is horrible! I’ve been a nanny for 11 years and used plenty of car seats from different companies and even most recently from chicco. This particular seat though has a fabric that DOES NOT HOLD UP. I’ve never seen a seat get this worn in such a short period of time. my daughter has been in it for only 3 months and it’s destroyed. This seat is supposed to last years and I don’t know how it will. It’s pilled, and torn and catches on everything. I’m very disappointed in this. I’ve had such great experience with other chicco seats but this one is not it.

Headrest came off easily

The headrest seems like it’s Glued on and easily broke off. Not sure how this is safe. The first time it happened, contacted the manufacturer and they sent me a new one. However, a couple years later, the same thing happened when I was adjusting the headrest. I would say, if your child likes to climb into their car seat or if you’re cleaning it and pull on the headrest part, it break off. Loved everything about the car seat otherwise.
