  • A: I haven’t tried this yet but beware - the first ingredient of this spray is mineral oil, I wouldn’t be surprised if it left your hair limp and greasy if you tried to use it on dry hair for curling. Probably best to only use on damp hair.

    Weightless spray that protects all hair types

    The best brand I’ve had to protect my hair from heat! It gives amazing texture and is easy to use. I have somewhat of thick hair and this is amazing for the texture. It takes me about 5 minutes to dry my hair and the scent is an added bonus! Leaves me hair smelling so good after blow drying!

    An amazing heat protector

    I got this a few weeks ago and overall I really enjoy it. I feel like it does a really good job as a heat protectant! I love how the bottle sprays as it is more of a mist than a jet. The one thing I am not the biggest fan of it I am not a fan of the scent. It’s not a bad smell but it’s just not my favorite but it’s still an amazing heat protectant and so the fragrance is nothing

    I love styling my hair using a hair blower or heating tool, but I find that it doesn’t take long before my hair starts looking limp and lifeless.     This thermal shield spray prep and protect for 450 degree heat protection is really amazing, smells so good and the texture is very lightweight and the formulaitself doesexactly whatit promised. . It helped my hair to be smooth without feeling heavy or greasy or even down my hair . I sprayed on damp hair but you also can use it for dry hair , its made my hair easier to mange. A few sprays beforeyour blow dryingyour hair or any heat processcan literallychangeyour end hair look and result. . The packaging design it perfect and I like how ot sprayed.

    Loving it for my Curls!

    I don’t recommend

    This product works but it’s nothing I would recommend. It’s a product I would use if I run out of my go to heat protector. It works temporarily for its claims but after awhile my hair was dry. Another reason this product wasn’t it for me is the spray pump. It went everywhere but the hair and would repeatedly stop working.

    It does it's job 🎯

    This spray is great when it comes to preventing heat damage. Since I began to use the Nexxus prep and protect spray, I've had a noticeable decrease in frizz and split ends. The only thing I dislike is the build up. I feel a film of sorts after continuous use.

    A Heat Protectant That Works on Brittle Hair

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finding a heat protectant that doesn't weigh down fine hair is a big ask, but the Nexxus Prep & Protect Heat Defense Spray really impressed me. I have brittle, fine hair. I actually hadn't heat styled/blowdried in a year or so because I couldn't find a heat protectant that actually worked. I used this spray on my damp hair on my last wash day, and went for it with a blow dry and curling wand. It felt incredibly lightweight, not sticky or greasy, and it has a very pleasant, subtle scent that isn't overpowering. I was shocked at how healthy and bouncy my hair felt. Usually, my ends look fried after that much heat, but they stayed smooth and shiny. Other heat sprays have made my hair go limp after a few hours, but I'm on day 3 after my wash day and my hair is still full of volume, silky, and frizzfree! I would absolutely buy this spray again!
