Fisher-Price Deluxe Sit-Me-Up Floor Seat - Monkey

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this seat for several months now, receiving it around the time our youngest was just old enough to start practicing supported sitting. In the early days, it was one of a few places we could set him up to practice sitting without someone holding him, and we have found it to be just as useful now that he is 9 mos. old and sitting independently. It has been quite versatile. Even before baby sits, the piano attachment can be used for tummy time or for their feet to tap as they lay on their backs. As they grow, the chair is a great place to set baby while a parent is engaged with them or doing other activities nearby. I love how compact it is and easy to move, making it a great option for moving around the house to the bathroom or bedroom while you get read or the kitchen while you prepare meals. Speaking of meals, the chair includes a snack tray, so as baby gets older, it’s a great place to put a few bite-size snacks for baby to enjoy. The piano can go at baby’s feet or where the tray is for different kinds of play at different phases. The cover is washable and easy to take off and put back on. It washes well and still looks like new after months of use. Even when baby is done using the chair, I suspect the piano (with all of its fun, silly songs) will be in use for quite a while. When choosing baby items, I always look for variety and longevity of use and this product fits the bill!

What I love about this is the fact that is so easy to take with you while traveling! We are using this play seat for my little grand baby so it’s been nice being able to tote it between my house and my daughters. I like that it also grows with the baby. You can use it as a snack table too! It folds up for easy storage and transport. All around great little play seat!

The piano can attach on the tray or at the feet, or just be removed all together for snack time. It folds up, so I was able to take it from room to room or tuck it away easily. My kids loved the fun piano sounds and my toddler wanted to play piano with the baby also.

You can use it without the keyboard, use the keyboard separately, attach the keyboard to the tray, or attach the keyboard for your baby to kick at. I wish it came with a travel bag to keep it clean and all the parts together on the go, but otherwise, couldn't be happier with it. It's been easy to spot clean and I think this would make a great gift. I would definitely recommend it to a friend or family member.

Since we received it a few weeks ago, he’s been able to sit up, look around, enjoy feeding time, and play with his toys. It was easy to assemble in just minutes, no tools required , and it’s lightweight and portable, making it simple to move from room to room. It also folds up easily for storage or travel. The snack tray is definitely a nice addition that is easy to remove and dishwasher safe. The adorable purple monkey printed seat cover easily wipes clean and is machine washable. Also included is a detachable light up piano (Batteries required, not included). It’s interactive and plays music, teaches colors, counting, shapes as well as phrases and more. This amazing portable seat will definitely keep him engaged, learning and entertained as he grows. I highly recommend the Kick & Play Deluxe Set Me Up Seat!

Cover comes off and it easy to clean. Straps are easy to adjust and keeps the baby safe if you have to step away to grab something.

He loves being able to sit up and look around and I loved having a few minutes with my hands free to be honest! The piano attachment is actually pretty great. It lights up, plays music (gotta love that monkey in the bubble gum tree!) and keeps him busy for a solid 15 minutes at a time. He figured out how to hit the keys pretty quickly, and now he gets so proud of himself when she hears the music play. The seat itself is soft and supportive. My only thought would be to make the leg holes wider, we’ve got a big baby! I love that it folds down flat, which is a big deal when you’ve already got baby gear in every corner of your house!

With the piano being removable, it is perfect to customize for each age and stage your baby is at. It’s so fun that the piano can firstly be used as a kick and play, then as a sit and play. The seat on its own can also be used for feeding and snacks and the piano and be taken off the seat to be used on the go as a toy! Such a great, fun idea!

It feels gender neutral without being boring. The little keyboard can be put on the floor, completely detached or set up on the tray. Also assembly was super quick and easy. All pieces fit like they should. I would highly recommend as a baby chair for those babies who are at the right developmental stage.
