Flimsy, poor quality, uncomfortable to use
Wow... was really surprised at the lack of quality. It does collapse very flat... that's the only good thing the area where your fingers go is VERY flimsy. it also has sharp edges. No thanks, I'll stick with my comfy, easy to use, sturdy Popsockets

Honestly I love the previous version with the sticky back
It's a bummer that the quality dropped; the magnet isn't as strong as it used to be. So, I just used my old one, peeled off the sticky back, and put on new adhesive tape. The old one works with all my mounts, but the new one, not so much. Like I said, a lot of quality was lost. I will say stick to the classic in this case. Also have to select 5 things in order to post i would not to actually consider them

Miss the old one
I bought 2 of the newest snap grips and neither one have the magnetic power that the old one with adhesive did. I cannot place the new ones on any metal surface and have it stay. Now it slides down the wall or simply falls off. I miss the old one with the adhesive on it.

Finally
I've purchased 2 previous generations of snap grip and I was impressed by the functionality and thinness of them. However, the adhesive never quite worked right with android devices. I recently got a Pixel 10 Pro Fold and couldn't quite find a case that worked. I saw that OhSnap had released a new generation without adhesive and decided to try again. It arrived about an hour ago and I can safely say that the Snap Grip is the BEST it's ever been. It snaps right on and it's not too difficult to remove and swap to the variety of cases I've collected. Well Done OhSnap team!!

It's alright, not ideal with a case
I used it with a case, I even have to find a thin case to work with wireless charging, and eventually it fell off after 6 months. With this price tag I would assume it last at least a phone cycle (2 years minimum). Would I buy it again? Probably not, but the magnet is really nice, it really held onto the metal.

Doesn’t seem like an upgrade.
I have had the snap grip 3,4 and now 5. There is a big improvement from the 3 to the 4. Now the 5... doesn’t seem like an improvement in my opinion. The magnet is weaker and my phone no longer charges wirelessly through my MagSafe case like my snap grip 4 does. I’m just being honest, I want to go back to my 4 but it has broke so I got a 5 as a replacement since it was advertised to be better. Maybe mine is defective or something. But if I can swap back, I would. I love the blue color my 5 has though haha.

Keeps popping off
As much as I was excited to have this and use it. The phone falls off. I have iphone 16pmax and the weight is too much for oh snap. Magnets are too weak

Not my favorite ohsnap!
Unpopular opinion I’m sure, but I preferred the previous version with the adhesive. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a strong magnet, it’s ultra thin, and you can hold it a variety of ways. All of this makes for a solid product. The previous iteration if used without the adhesive, you could accidentally leave it behind because it would stick to other things stronger than it would stick to the phone. This current version is strong enough to stay attached to the phone without adhesive, however, it no longer attaches as strongly to my wallet and I have to remove it from my phone case in order to use wireless chargers. I’ll keep using the new adhesive free version but I wish the older style was still available.

Magent not so great
I had the original snap grip released a few years ago and it was amazing. This new version, however... kind of sucks. Anytime I drop my phone (which is often with 2 toddlers) the grip flies off my phone case. The worst part is at the gym. I love using the magnet to stick my phone to the squat rack while working out. The old grip had magnets so strong they would hold on for dear life. This new grip has magnets so weak that my phone goes flying off the metal squat rack if I rack the weights too hard.I loved the old grip and wish they didn’t change the design and weaken the magnets :( I also wish I could still adhere it to my case so it didn’t fly off or push off when I try to expand the grip.

Too expensive and the middle was faulty
Although I absolutely love these my middle has snapped which I would expect from something cheap but I spent a pretty penny. The magnet is fantastic.

Broke immediately
After trying it out the first day it would stay open and would no longer click and stay shut, sometimes it would shut, sometimes not, I wrote the co and they requested a return in which I have to pay to send back, I decided to keep it but didn’t use it till a month later and then it totally took a crap, WILL NOT stay shut at all and doesn’t charge with it on cuz it won’t close! Ridiculous! Don’t fall for the cute guy on the ads, or even the cute ads for that matter!! Errrr

Would not recommend - Poor Quality
I gave this a 2 star rating only because the grip actually was ultra slim and didn't feel bulky in my pocket. That's where the praise ends. The magnet wasn't strong enough to attach firmly to most metal surfaces that I used (gym equipment, golf cart, etc.). My phone fell almost every single time. In addition, the pop socket was almost impossible to open up and use properly with one hand which basically defeated my purpose for purchase. Once I was able to open the socket, the opening where you would stick your one finger through was made for only a slim woman or child's hand. I was using it in one finger mode last night for about 6 minutes which I guess was enough time to stretch out the grip and it wouldn't collapse back into the phone. I just left it at the bar counter for the next sucker to use. Wouldn't buy again... wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Poor quality
Gave it two stars only because it is actually really slim and not bulky in my pocket. However, the magnet barely sticks to metal surfaces (gym equipment, golf cart, etc.) and kept slipping off and falling. It’s almost impossible to pop the socket with one hand which defeats the purpose of the purchase for me . Lastly the hole to stick your finger through is made for a child’s finger. Last night was using it for about 6 minutes and i guess it stretched out too far and wouldn’t fold back in. I left it on the bar table for the next sucker to try out. Wouldn’t buy or recommend.

Flimsy materials
I have had one of these grips for less than a year, and it is completely broken and no longer usable. They advertise that it is made of “aerospace grade aluminum” but that is really only the outermost ring that is aluminum. All of the other components of the grip are a thin plastic material. It was these plastic parts that broke apart. Also, they advertise that it is charge through, but it is really only charge through on very high power MagSafe chargers. I was specifically looking for something that was charge through so I didn’t have to take it off to put it on my bedside table charger, and this never worked. A pretty disappointing experience overall!

fine, flimsy tho
it’s hard to get it the correct angle - i need both hands to un-stick the moveable part and then find the proper way to get my two fingers under. the old style round ones are much easier to deal with even if they’re annoying and thicker and don’t come off to reposition
