Tbh this phone grip does suck.
I bought this because I wanted to charge my phone wirelessly without having to take the grip off. This grip does not easily go back to its flat position, which ended up being very annoying. It also didn't work charging on the magsafe charger. Given that, this product had no utility for me.

Eff yeah
As a pop socket diehard, I was a little skeptical about trying a different phone grip, but I got tired of wanting to charge my phone wirelessly and not being able to without taking my case off, then a Google search and later Tiktok adds brought me to oh snap. It's still taking a while to get used to how thin it is, but I love the diversity of holds & a kickstand that locks into place is game changer. I've told everyone about my oh snap grip and will continue to annoy all humans about it. If you're on the fence, let this be your push to try something new!

So thin but strong!
I love this! I’ve tried many and lately had been going without because I don’t like the bulk in my pocket. The magnet works great with my existing holder in my car. Couldn’t be happier with the purchase!

Slim but barely functional
The profile is very slim which is nice and the magnet is pretty strong but where it sticks to the phone makes it hard to use only one hand properly. Also the phone wouldn't charge and got really hot while on the charging pad.

I can't believe it
Im truly confused to be writing this review, I've loved snapgrip over the last several years I've used them, the 4 was by far my favorite grip aside from the original. The 5 was *almost* perfect. But the no adhesive hasn't been working great as well as the orientation or what magic it may be that used to have killer hold, doesn't. Just going from portrait to landscape can make my grip fall off, pressing the volume buttons while finger is in the grip will make it fall off, I doesn't hold onto my car mounts badly enough I've swapped back to a clamp style. I even tried it with their ring and on several different magsafe cases as my phone doesn't natively have it, maybe that's the difference but I couldn't say for sure, but it made no difference. I'm about to put back on my one of my grip3's as I gifted my grip4 to a buddy thinking I wouldn't still want it. Ohsnap, I love you guys and I love your product, up until the grip 5, maybe I'm just unlucky. I'm honestly giving it 2 stars because I love the company too dang much to leave a 1 star

Again & Again
I’ve been buying ohsnap grips since the 2nd gen, I think. These are the most comfortable, most versatile, and most absentmindedly entertaining grips imaginable. It’s been fun watching the design change and improve upon itself again and again.

Nearly perfect phone grip!
I recently upgraded my iphone 13 pro max to a 17 pro max and wanted a "pop socket" type of holder to pair with my new case/phone. First impression, was incredible right out of the awesome packaging! Really love how the color matched the phone. Using the grip took some adjusting, but the slimmer profile and magnetic functionality is well worth it. That being said, I am slightly disappointed that only 1 of 4 magsafe chargers I have work with the snap grip while on my case. None of my apple magsafe chargers work with the case and snap grip on. The magnets are also not strong enough to fully support a 17 pro max in case with the snap grip on a magnetic surface that is smooth, it will slowly slide down/off of the surface it is on. Would love to see future models be able to support magsafe charging with ALL cases and phones and magsafe chargers. Overall the functionality is a huge improvement from the traditional pop socket.....and I spin my phone in circles all the time now lol.

Not worth it for the cost.
Pass through charging does not work which was mostly the main feature I wanted. Outside of that it's fine. Very thin, which is nice, but for the price, I'd rather just get something else even if it adds additional weight. Not overly impressed.

Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend

Strong hold/low-profile
I really like how low-profile this is. The magnet has a very strong hold. It is pricey and the disc is a bit of a hassle to pop out when you want to use it as a phone grip but it seems that's something I have to accept if I want the slim design

Comfort
I like this product, I've gotten the snap grip for my car and have bought multiple of the different grips, from 2.0 to now. The newest version has been my favorite, but the most recent one I have gotten seems that the magnet is not strong.

Not bad, room for improvement
Magnetic feature great, aesthetics great, wireless charging not bad, retraction functionality is why I gave 2 stars. It is difficult to retract the pop out finger grip. Often doesn’t want to pop back into place and stay flush. Very frustrating.

Not a fan.
It’s thin which is awesome and the magnet is very strong. Another plus! But I find it to be awkward to use. It doesn’t open up very wide so I have to use both hands ti get my fingers under it comfortably. I also wanted to use it like a kickstand but it folds up when I do that.

2 steps back
I’ve had 2 previous versions and this one is no use to me. The outer magnets are much weaker so the phone does not attach to anything well. It also doesn’t self align very well so you have to be precise when attaching it to MagSafe accessories. It got 2 stars instead of two because I like that the inner part, the piece with the kick stand now spins freely which is satisfying to play with. I returned this product along either the matching case

Cheap and flimsy
Probably the worst phone grip I’ve ever purchased.1. The material is thin plastic 2. The magnet to hold it shut is weak and sometimes I have to try multiple times to get it to close. 3. The plastic springs that allow the snap to close and open easily get misaligned and bent in the wrong direction, requiring a few frustrating minutes to realign them in order to close the grip. 4. 100% not a strong enough magnet to put on my car mount. 5. The mount is large and covers most of the width of my case. 6. Sliding a finger (even my small thin fingers) through the grip to hold it with one finger is uncomfortable

Snap 5 vs 4
I’ve had both grips version 4 with the adhesive and the new version that’s MagSafe. The adhesive (4) was a pain because you couldn’t swap it out to another case but it was strong. The new version, is great because you can change it around but the magnetic capabilities aren’t that of the older version. Also the wireless charging on the new design isn’t the best. I do like this product through works great!

Not as great as I had hoped
Phone doesn't stick to my magnetic chargers as well as it does without. Also sometimes doesn't charge on magsafe charger, and it sits a little too high on the phone so my thumb is not positioned well for low-screen motions, so I stopped using it.

Better than...pop sockets
Way better. Didn’t realize the difference in comfort until I used this. Durable and slim. I love the feel of the grip. Feels natural in my hand and so much easier to store in my pocket or purse. Can’t wait until they have more designs and colors

Learning curve & wireless charging doesn't work.
Traditional pop socket convert, here are my thoughts so far: Pros: Super thin so no catching on pockets, cool to be able to magnet phone onto metal surfaces, multiple ways to hold Cons: Magsafe charging with Snap Grip on does not work AT ALL, I've not once been able to get it to work, even removing cases, etc. Falls off easily. Requires more fidgeting than pop socket, and while a few extra seconds doesn't seem like a lot, it makes a difference in the overall ability to quickly grip and access your phone. Popsocket just takes a swift pop, and it's immediately useable regardless if the top has turned. Snap grip, you have to find the little bump to figure out where to pop it open, pop it, rotate it around for a bit until it's in the right position for your fingers, and then it's useable. I thought it would become more natural over time but 3 weeks in and I'm still fumbling with it multiple times a day. "Shelf" grip is much less sturdy/secure, since you have to support the whole length of the grip instead of balancing a single point. I have large hands and an iphone Pro and it's a bit hard to reach far enough for it to be comfortable to support the full length of the grip in any position, so I'd be wary if you have shorter fingers and/or a bigger phone!Overall it's fine, but I'll likely go back to pop socket after this breaks.
