Q: If filter indicator light contains a NON-replaceable battery and the battery will eventually stop working, what is the point if filter still works if we cannot see when it's time to change filter?

A: We appreciate your inquiry. To confirm, the filter change light contains a non-replaceable battery. The battery will eventually stop working but the filter is still functional. Be advised, the light is just there to guide you and give you an idea when to change the filter and it has no effect on the filtration. The light on the unit is designed to change color to red in every 40 gallons which averages about 1-2 months. We hope this information is helpful! Q: Are you supposed to have to hold the lid and blue interior part on with your hand whenever you pour? It seems like a bad design as it tries to fall off if I don't hold it. No instructions included.
