A: No. You can unplug the cord the wash the cover but you cannot use the heating pad with water.

Great Idea, some improvements needed
Pros: Brilliant design, covers full back, shoulders, and neck. Improvements needed: Not quite hot enough, the hottest setting is 140F at the most. 160-170F is ideal for the highest setting. The "high" setting is about medium compared to my old heating pad (may she rest in peace). Needs some more heat in the collar/neck area.

Doesn't get too hot
Great idea, and comfortable. I'm plus sized and I flet like the shoulder flaps weren't long enough forward personally. Husband is the and he felt like they could have been longer as well. Doesn't get overly hot on high. Smells a little strong out of the packaging. I would need to wash before using. overall a good purchase.

Wishing it would heat the neck and shoulders
This heating pad burns my back on the warm setting. I don't know if I have a bad one. I can only keep it on for like a minute because it will get so hot it feels like my back is burning and I have it only on the WARM setting (I've never been able to go over that). And this is only my back when I have 2 layers or 3 layers of clothes and it still burns my back! I don't feel any heat where I need it the most (my neck and shoulders). It's like all the heat goes straight to the center or the back and nothing to the other area! The concept is good, I just wish it would work better and not burn me.

This is nice-to-have in the winter, but doesn't get hot enough to penetrate sore muscles. I can't really see a difference between low and high settings, either.

I’ve had to use heating pads for years due to multiple back surgeries. Every time I make a dumb mistake and try to get a better deal on one, I get ripped off and go right back to Pure Enrichment! I’ve done with the others and sticking with the proven one, Pure Enrichment!

I was in a car accident and was told by the therapist to buy this for in between sessions. It was the best purchase I made. I love the weighted part on the shoulder's. It allows for the heat to radiate with an equal distribution. I would recommend this for a “ just because” purchase. Use it to just relax and give your muscles a spa day anytime. Amy J

Doesn’t give much heat to the neck area. Inconsistent heating. Very rough touch for the massage. Lastly, and most important- can only use with power. No way to charge and relax. Has to sit by an outlet

Inconsistent
very inconsistent in if it works or not. at first it heats up nicely on warm or low, but that only lasts about 10 minute, then it cools rapidly. if you unplug it and plug it pack in it will work again for about 10 more minutes. it also doesnt heat all the way out to the edges.

Arthritic shoulders? Then you NEED this!
Perfect for those days I spend typing on my laptop in various settings, some my arthritic shoulders are killing me by the end of the day. I have spent so much money on various heating pads & massager things through the years & I had yet to find something that heated up that wrapped around my neck & shoulder area. This has been perfect for me. It has a magnet clasp that keeps it from slipping off my shoulders and it also has an optional belt that can be used to make it fit tightly around the waist. I'm 5'10" & wear a size medium top and it is a perfect fit for my body. My husband is the same height and wears a 2XL men's shirt and it's too small for him to be able to cover his neck & shoulders therefore the magnets can't get close enough to keep the pad secured. I liked it so much I just ordered 5 more - 1 for each of my co-workers who do the same type of work I do - lol, we're always complaining about how much we ache at the end of the day. I like that it has a plug instead of having to worry about keeping it charged. The cord is quite long, the pad is soft & maintains it shape. It's not heavy but yet it's heavy enough to keep it hanging down and close to my back. The only negative I can say is that I wish it was longer so that it would cover my neck & shoulders all the way down to my low back area but that's just because I'm tall at 5'10" but since my shoulders are the reason I bought it, I'm quite happy with that - if my low back area needs it, I can just use it like a traditional heating pad. I haven't had the need to wash it yet but the instructions indicated that it's washable. I also liked that it has 4 different heat settings.
