Q: Purchased this for my mother and instead of shutting off after 2 hours as stated in the instructions, it shuts off after 30 minutes. Is this a different option, or is her unit not working correctly.

  • A: Thank you for reaching out to Sunbeam®. We are sorry to hear that your Sunbeam Renue Heat Wrap shuts off right away after 30 minutes. This is certainly not the experience we want you to have. No worries, we are here to help. If your heating pad shuts off before the 2 hour auto shut off, it might be because the unit is not getting enough power from the wall outlet where it is currently plugged in or the wall outlet itself is a non working outlet. To remedy this issue, check if there is no physical damage on its cord and if there's none, try unplugging the cord from the pad and from the outlet. Let the unit rest for 3-5 minutes. Afterwards, plug it into a different wall outlet. Do not use it with any extension cords, power strips and power converters or inverters as it may affect the heating pad's performance. Your heating pad has a 5-year limited warranty. If this doesn't resolve your issue, we'd like to kindly request that you contact us directly in order to help you get to the best resolution. Great for endo + abdominal discomfort

Pro tip - this is awesome for large surface area and the little slots meant for shoulders work well to go over your legs! The edges are weighted, too. I have endometriosis and IBS, so this thing saves my life at the office

Lot of Mehhh, for a lot of Money

This isn't a bad heating pad, it's just not a good one either. it gets kinda warm, but the biggest issue is that it doesn't really hit your neck. I think part of the problem is that it isn't very heavy, it doesn't hold onto your shoulders and neck, so what I have tried is to wrap a blanket around my neck to weigh it down and try to get it warmer. this solves some of the heat problems, it gets hot-ish but nowhere near as hot as my 10+-year-old pad does. if I'm going to put in as much effort as it takes to hold this pad in with a blanket, I'm better off just using that older pad and the blanket and taking this back. it's too expensive to be this mid.

Stopped working properly after a year!

I've had this and used on my neck pain for about year and now the red light just blinks when I plug it in. Tried "resetting" and left it alone for a few days. Then it started to work again! Well, two days later it's doing the same thing. I can't see where it's not connecting or anything. Will have to buy a new one at definitely NOT a Sunbeam brand!!

Product No Longer Works

I purchased this product about 6 months ago. I was working well until just recently which was when i started getting a "F" reading on the controller display. I tried the various troubleshooting tips that Sunbeam provided but nothing worked. I submitted a question over a week ago and have received no response. Very disappointed with this product. I will be purchasing another neck and shoulder heating pad but it wont be a Sunbeam product.

Not worth the money

Absolute trash. I purchase this today and am using it now. I have to turn it on high to even feel warmth on the back of my neck. There is no warmth to speak of that is felt in the parts that go over the shoulder. At this price point I expected so much more. I will be returning and purchasing an extra large heating pad and will drape that over my shoulders.

Not hot enough

The quality seems fine, but even on the hottest setting it seems to just translate to a vague warmth on my neck. If I touch it with my hands it feels hot enough, but it doesn't feel hot enough on my neck to relax muscles like a hot shower does.

Bad buy

Have had this heating pad for 2 weeks. Worked well for the first week. Today it literally just stopped working. Changed outlets to make sure it wasn’t that, but it just completely died. Definitely would not recommend!

Love this!

Works well, gets hot, automatic shut off when it gets too hot. Owned my last one for like 15 years and it finally shorted out from the kids wrapping the cord around it all the time, going to pick up another. :)

Worked great for 10 months, now Error F

I got this 1 about 10 months ago and it has now started giving a F flashing error. Have tried everything that was recommended to reset it and it still gives the F error. Not only do I have this heating pad, I also have the x-large heating pad and guess what that one also gives the F error. For the amount of money these both cost I thought they would be better quality and last longer than 10 months.

No worries, we are here to help. There are several causes to a flashing control or a control displaying “FF, F1, or F2”: 1. Product is plugged into an extension cord/surge protector and not plugged into a direct wall outlet. 2. Product wasn't plugged in properly. To FIX this problem, do the following to reset your product: 1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical connection. 2. Unplug the cord from the actual product itself (if your product has a detachable cord) 3. Re-plug the cord into the product. Make sure the connection is secure and complete.(if your product has a detachable cord) 4. Re-insert power cord back into a wall outlet. Your Sunbeam® Renue Neck & Shoulder Wrap has a 5-year limited warranty. If this doesn't resolve your issue, we'd like to kindly request that you contact us directly or fill in the "Contact us" link provided below to help you get to the best resolution. Terrible

It turned automatically off within 10 minutes, and it doesn't get hot at all. Do not buy.

Buyer Beware

Disappointed in this product. I have not had any issues with other Sunbeam purchases, however, this heating pad stopped working. It states that it has a 5 year warranty, but that warranty is not valid. Buyer beware.

Bad heating pad

I have had this heating pad for about one year. It works good, when it works!! Sometimes when you plug it in, it will sit there and blink and not come on. Change the plug to another plug in and it does the same stupid thing. I saw online that it is a common issue. I just threw it out and purchased another make.

This is more like hand warmers not a shoulder wrap wamer

Super bummed that this did not work the way I was hoping. It doesn’t get hot enough or heat evenly. I use it as hand warmers when sitting at my desk…. Not worth the price.
