My 2 year old can open it
This gate hasn’t been great for us: 1) First of all, my 25 month old figured out how to open the latch even when the gate is closed properly. At the same time, the latch is complicated enough that grandparents and babysitters don’t know how to close it properly without a lesson. 2) The opening is narrow. I’m slim and there’s no room to spare when I walkthrough. If you’re a bigger person you’ll probably have to go through it sideways. 3) The instructions say you have to drill holes in the wall to install safely. Based on the design, I thought we would be able to install without drilling. On a positive note, the gate does seem somewhat sturdy to me.

Nice gate!
I bought this gate to keep my cats out of the kitchen… it didn’t quite work out! If you’re buying for the same reason, if you don’t have to use the extenders it should work! However, I had to use the extenders and my cat is slender so she can just squeeze through. The gate itself is great though. Easy to put together, instructions made sense, and it’s still a deterrent so we are still using it!

This would have been perfect to prevent my pets from jumping over given its tall height but it unfortunately did not fit the space I needed it to fill. The gate swings both ways which is nice, though it is a rather small opening and a bulkier person might have to squeeze through.

Super tall and works well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I got this Extra tall safety gate to use to separate my living room and kitchen so that my niece will not go into the kitchen while we are cooking. She is pretty tall for her age so we needed a taller one so that she couldn't climb over it. What I love about this one is that it is very sturdy metal and has a nice opening to open it, you do not have to climb over it or take it down every time you want to go into the kitchen like other ones. The opening inst very wide, and with me being bigger, its a bit of tight squeeze to get through it but it works amazing!!What I also love about this one is how easy it is to clean, you just take a damp cloth and wipe it down and you are good to go. I highly recommend this one.

Great Gate

It's tall enough that my great dane doesnt try to jump it. It was super easy to install and it's a breeze to open and close. My toddlers have no problems stepping through the gate thanks to the easy step feature.

Love the height

He is getting taller so I like that this gate is taller than the normal ones. It was easy to put together and even came with a 4" entender piece for wider door ways. It is a little hard to open but maybe i just need to get the hang of using it more.

Toddler Can’t Climb It
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is 21 month old and is currently in the stage where he needs to explore everything. We’ve tried wooden gates and he just climbs right over them. This gate is sturdy and tall. It’s height reached well over my hips and I’m 5’ 6”. It took me around 20 minutes to set up but may have taken less if my toddler wasn’t “helping” me. Once everything is ready to be placed up, you will find the gate swings open because the latch is distanced from the right side. Once the wall legs are adjusted, this spacing narrows to a fit and it all makes sense! It’s sturdy once placed and we needed up using the extension to place it in our hallway. It’s very easy to open with a pull and lift. The bottom can secure in place with two pieces that easily go down. Overall, this is a very well designed baby gate that is the most successful at keeping my son out of places he shouldn’t go and the gate looks really good! It’s easy for us to make our way through the house, as well, so I do recommend this gate.

Must be square to operate properly. Note, you will have screw holes left in door frame when you remove it, so if you have a rental or that will bother you when you are finished with it..

Absolute junk. This is our second extra tall Regalo gate and it has broken in the same spot as the first. The first lasted a few years, but this broke after 120 days...just one month beyond the 90 day warranty and 90 day target return policy. The welded metal on the bottom of the gate that swings open is a very small welded spot. It's the shape of a square, yet only one side of the square is welded so it is not strong enough for a baby to continuously put pressure on it. Take your money and spend it on the better rated gate because this is just a waste of time and money.

Not sturdy!
I followed all of the directions. All 4 screws slid in and out of the gate. I used it in a space that was 31" wide. It was too small without the extension and too large with it. Even with the cups mounted, the gap was larger than the recommended 2" on each side. An additional note- if you are using this in a door way keep in mind the height of the gate will make the door knob useless.

Narrow Opening
I gave this gate only 3 stars because of its ease to put up, the height of the gate (which prevents our dog from jumping over) and the quality of the materials it's made with. However, I don't like how narrow the opening of the gate is -- its so narrow that you can't get through it easily. We have it attached to our laundry room doorway, so the narrow opening makes it extremely difficult to leave the room with a laundry basket, groceries, or carrying a small child. The company that manufactures this gate should consider adjusting its design to make the opening wider.

Narrow walk through
I really liked this gate for my dog. It was very easy to install and sturdy. I returned it though because the opening to walk through is quite narrow and I'm not a big person. Plus, for me it's a hassle to have to step over the bottom bar.
