Purchased this item as a gift. Unfortunately the first time they used it the item smelled of burning plastic. They attempted to use it again but it the same issue occurred. There was a strange sound within and the smell of something burning. The return window had passed by the time the item was tested so I wasn’t able to return it despite its malfunction. I purchased it as a Christmas gift for someone, since I had owned one in the past and loved it. I wish it had worked for them, but the quality of this item seems to have changed since I purchased my own. I will not be repurchasing.

I just got this and have used it once. I spent 30 minutes running this (on low) through my hair while I sat in front of the tv with no mirror. As seen in the before and after pics, my very wavy hair is now straight and smooth. It was easy as could be, and it was quieter than my blow dryer. I will update if it ever gives me trouble.

I’m a stylist and have very tight curls. I’ve never used any drier that isn’t for professional use. I used it for the first time today on myself, and it works amazing! Tips for curly headed girls’: Take small sections Start at the root rotate at the root Once it completely dry at the root Then move down to the ends and rotate. Take your time and always dry from roots to ends. Curly headed girls need to do a little more work because of our hair texture. Honestly I’ll be using this at home on my self! What would take me an hour and a half today it took me 30 minutes!

Way too loud - fries your ends
Not a fan of how loud this is right in your ears. I know it’s a blow dry but it also dries out your ends and fries them really bad. This needs to come with ear protection or a warning.
