Hardwiring your Ring Battery Doorbell prevents downtime for charging, as the wiring provides a trickle charge to keep the battery topped off. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to use the hardwired option, along with the critical power requirements you need to check first. ⚠️ Important Power Check Before you begin, you must confirm your existing doorbell system's power is compatible. Required Voltage: Your existing doorbell transformer must be rated between 8 and 24 Volts AC (VAC). VA Rating: It also needs a rating between 5VA and 40VA. Safety: Ring doorbells are not compatible with mains voltage. If you are uncomfortable with electrical work, contact a licensed electrician. 🛠️ Hardwire Installation Steps This process assumes you are replacing an existing wired doorbell button. Step 1: Prepare the Device Fully Charge the Battery: Even if you hardwire it, the battery needs to be fully charged via the USB cable before installation. The hardwiring only provides a maintenance charge. Set Up in App (Optional but Recommended): You can complete the initial setup (connecting to Wi-Fi) in the Ring app indoors near your router before mounting it. Step 2: Shut Off Power Turn Off Power: Go to your home's circuit breaker box and turn off the power to the circuit controlling your existing doorbell.     VERY RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE

    The associate was very rude, she came to the passenger side of my car and asked where to put package, I said driver because I was alone (I also put driver in the app when it asked me. She came around to driver side and tossed the bag to me and walked away. Very very poor customer service. I’ve NEVER been treated like this when picking up an item curbside and will NEVER have anything picked up here again. This behavior was Very unprofessional and unacceptable🤬

    One works one doesn't

    I bought 2 of these one is working just fine but with in about 10 days the other has quit working already. I plugged it up no lights no nothing. Now I've got to make a trip to the nearest Target to return it which is 2 states away from me. I'm very disappointed

    Ring Doorbell - Battery but has the hardwire option

    I love my ring doorbell. I bought this one with the battery but it can be hardwired so I had it hardwired. It does everything it says it will and I bought it on sale for half the normal price.

    I was not please with the delivery. I didn't like the fact that the items where delivered in a Target bag instead of been delivered in a box discreetly.
