Round Resin Wood Frame Kit Ocean - Mondo Llama™

This was my first time working with resin. I did not know this tuff is toxic 😅 at least it come with gloves but a mask would be nice too. I received more Part B than Part A resin despite the bottles being the exact same size and contents. The instructions say "less is more when it comes to mica powder" but it was actually necessary to use more. As I began pouring and it spread, it became apparent to me that it was not going to be quite as concentrated in color as it appeared to be in the mixing cups. I sprinkled in more powder and tried to mix in and spread it across to even out the color. However, some areas were still a bit more translucent than others as I could still see the wooden frame through the colored resin after curing. I added some seashells but wish the instructions included techniques to give the waves more detail, as the final out one was not quite as beautiful or detailed as the waves pictured on the box.

So pretty ! I love how the colors look together. Use the silver glitter last.

I purchased this as a gift for a teenager and she loved it. I find Mondo to be perfect projects for the weekend.

So let me just say I usually get a little annoyed with craft kits for kids because they end up being overly complicated and I have to do pretty much the entire project myself while the kids watch. This was NOT the case with this one! My 10 year old did a wonderful job with little help. This was a great homeschool project we used for science!

Loved this ocean resin craft! Directions were very clear and materials all included, very fun to create this piece of art. I even added a little mermaid charm to mine! Love the colors and pretty subtle shimmer. I hope Target comes out with more resin craft sets!

great boredom buster for my girls over summer break. ages 9 and 11. the results are fun, I wish it had included some white but the silver, blue, and turquoise colors are pretty. it even comes with plastic cover to protect your table.

I bought this for 8 year old daughter and although she really enjoyed this craft, she did need help from my husband and me. There was not a recommended age anywhere on thy box. From start to finish, this took about 15 minutes. Ideally it would be nice if she could have done this on her own and it would have kept her busy longer. I was pretty excited to get this kit but unfortunately it become busted in shipping. Thankfully it is packaged well so it was contained it did spill a little bit into the cardboard but no damage to other clothes or things in the box. I think this is a good kit because it is very large the boards seem to be made of wood which I thought you needed these to be plastic or silicone prime not sure it pwas thin too. This paint set is such a good value. It comes with everything needed to create the wall decor and can be used with kids of all ages. I love these kits to keep the kids busy over school breaks. I'm not crafty but my kids are. I love Mondo Llama because I can do projects without having to go down a Pinterest rabbit hole. One note- do this outside and maybe have kiddos wear a mask. Resin is strong smelling and toxic. The result is super cool!

This art kit is true to size. I think this seems like a super fun project to do alone or with your kid, when it is a hot day. It would also make a great birthday gift.
