A: We're here to help! Our recommendation is to leave items in a well-ventilated area for one week after painting with Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch 2X Ultra Cover Spray Paint. This allows for the most complete curing as well as maximum coating hardness. As with any coating product, care should be taken to ensure that accidental ingestion does not occur. When applying, the space must have good ventilation and air circulation, such as outdoors or in an open garage.

A: Great question, Cynthia. While Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch 2X Ultra Cover Spray Paint can be applied to rusted metal, it does not provide any rust inhibitor properties. Instead, we recommend applying Rust-Oleum Stops Rust 5-in-1 Protective Enamel Spray Paint, as it also helps protect the surface from future rusting.

However, a matte finish can be challenging to clean as it is more prone to absorbing stains and marks. You might consider using a higher paint sheen, like Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch 2X Ultra Cover Spray Paint in a satin finish. Higher sheen paints are easier to clean and more stain-resistant.

Oh no, this is certainly not what we expect to hear from our Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch 2X Ultra Cover Spray Paint. Before applying shake the can vigorously for at least 1 minute before applying, as well as throughout the application process. To ensure the best spray with Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch 2X Ultra Cover Spray Paint, it is essential that the can is being shaken for a full minute before each use and shaken often during application.
