Magical Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is magical! The disc is easy to insert and remove, and I love not having to change it during the day like a pad. This is what period freedom feels like: you can sleep on your side, you can swim, you can bike, you can sneeze without leaks and that uncomfortable feeling of leaking out blood. I honestly don’t even feel like I’m on my period when I use this. What’s another perk is how much money I’m saving in the long run by no longer having to buy boxes of pads and all of the waste I’m mitigating by not having to throw away said pads.
Even better than a cup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I switched from tampons to the Lunette Cup 7 years ago. The cup was 10x more comfortable and convenient. Three months ago I got the Saalt Disc. It is even more comfortable than using a cup, once its in there is not an ounce of discomfort its incredible. Mine self emptied, which is the most amazing thing. As for the mess free sex. . . deep penetration on day one of my cycle (which is quite heavy) did end up with small mess and slightly dislodging the disc. I had to take it out the next morning and reinsert it because of the leaking. But medium penetration on day 3 (med/low flow) had was mess free and had no effect on the fit of the disc. I REALLY love this disc and would recommend it to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Total game changer. Period cups always gave me a hard time, so I thought to give the disc a try and it worked so well, finally no leaking! So much easier to put in and out, and I even forgot about it as you don’t feel a thing (don’t be afraid about the size) I’m so happy I can finally stop buying pads and tampons.
Holy moly this is amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a 26 year old woman, I’ve been getting my period now for over half my life. This is the first period product I actually love. I can have a heavy flow and this cup KEEPS UP. No leaks, I love that it self empties when I pee, and it was surprisingly simple to figure out. I’ve used other environmentally friendly period products before and this by far is the best. I especially love the little indent for easy removal. BUY ONE, you won’t regret it!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a second time post-partum mom, cups didn’t fit me as well anymore and I knew I didn’t want period underwear to be my primary. The disc was comfortable and much easier to position correctly compared to a cup. I paired it with period underwear as a backup. No leaks! I can’t believe I waited this long to try it. It makes periods far less stressful and messy.
Smaller Salt Disk

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I originally bought the set because my survey said I needed the bigger disk but I had a feeling the small one was the one for me. This turned out to be true. The big disk flat out doesn’t work. It’s too big. It must not sit right because everything goes right around it. The small disk however is a total game changer. So much more comfortable than a cup and easier and more comfortable to take in and out. So if you’re under 5’6” and have a light ish flow, maybe pass up that bigger disk for the small one and live happily ever after.
Great for postpartum weak pelvic floor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was an avid cup user for 4 years before becoming pregnant. After my son was born I tried using my trusty cup but my pelvic floor no longer has the muscle tone to prevent a cup from leaking anymore. Plus, I also opted for an IUD for birth control postpartum and it’s generally advised not to use a cup with an IUD in place. So down the rabbit hole I went and learned that discs exist (I didn’t know about them at all before)! I purchased the regular size saalt disc to try and it felt super odd at first because I was so used to how a cup works. I wasn’t totally confident in placement the first few times I used it but very quickly learned what works for me and what doesn’t. I only had leaks during my first postpartum period but it was definitely from me trying to learn how to use it, not because of the product itself. I’ve used it for 5 cycles and now that I understand it better, I feel super confident popping it in and out to dump and clean. It’s so easy to use and I’m really happy with it. I do find that, for my body, the notch tends to slowly rotate to the side throughout the day but it’s generally very easy to find and move so that I can grab the notch when I want to remove the disc. Very happy with this product and will continue using it every cycle!

Too small to remove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I am an obgyn and recently purchased a small Saalt disc. Unfortunately, even though I have a light period and have never had a vaginal birth, the small size seems to be too small for me. No leaks. No discomfort. But almost impossible to remove. And I’m used to navigating vaginas! So I’m not sure if sizing up would help, but I would definitely stay away from the small cup as it’s so high up there, it’s a pain to try to take out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sadly this disc didn't really work for me. I have a very low cervix. It just about fits but I find the rim of the disc too firm and it's giving me a lot of discomfort. Good brand otherwise, just doesn't fit my body sadly!
Not for me. Very soft :/

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately, this product wasn’t for me. It was my first time trying a disc. It was too soft to insert and kept going all over the place. I couldn’t use it. I’m saddened that I did not enjoy this item, but I am glad that it works for others.
A Skeptic Turned

I have Heavy periods and had been using a cup for years and dealing with consistent leakage all the while so I didn't expect much when it came to the disk. I have been pleasantly surprised and deeply impressed. Historically, I had to wear period underwear with my cup just to get through the day without leaking. With the disk, I was able to sleep the whole night through with barely any spotting on my first day. Absolute game changer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] More comfortable than a menstrual cup but it leaks and makes more of a mess when you take it out. I don’t think I’ll end up using it much for those reasons.

I was skeptical that this product was going to be any different or better than the disposable menstrual discs which are a utterly useless on anything other than a light day. I'm glad to say that I was wrong. This disc is honestly a gamechanger and quite genuinely leakproof, even on my heaviest day. I'm recommending this thing to my friends, family, co-workers, and random strangers on the street. Things I loved: 1) Set it and forget it: I put this in at 7am and take it out and rinse it in cold water at 7pm, then put it back in and take it out at 7am and clean it and put it back in and. . . you get the picture. Every 12 hours with no leaks in between. 2) Survives all manner of maneuvers, including workouts. 3) Once you get the hang of it, putting it in is very straightforward and impossible to mess up. Definitely easier if it's wet just FYI. 4) No waste, no tampons, no plastic wrappers, nothing. Things I love less and that you should know, but aren't deal breakers: 1) Taking it out without causing a crime scene requires some willingness to embrace the learning curve and sustained effort to find what works for you. 2) I do not believe this item can be removed and cleaned effectively in a multi-stall bathroom, say at work. It's a single stall with it's own sink situation. This is why I developed the put it in before I leave my house and take it out when I get home method. Plan accordingly. 3) Sometimes the little notch you use to hook a finger under to remove it can rotate around. Not ideal, but not unmanageable if you use the tips provided in the little instruction booklet. 4) This product is not for the squeamish, BUT, bear in mind, you'll likely only have to mess with it twice a day instead of 10 times a day like tampons or pads. Overall this is a winner!
Intuitive, comfortable, great alternative

I had a cup for a while and ruined it once while sanitizing on the stove. I purchased this then waited a while to try because I still hat a good combination of other period items. I'm really glad I finally tried it this cycle though. It was significantly easier than a cup to use in my opinion and easily settle right into place. I still wear with a light peiord underwear, but was impressed with how well it held. I wish I would have tried it sooner. This might be one of my favorite period products. Sounds like it may not be for everyone. I think if you've tried a cup and found it not quite right, you might find the disc to be a better fit.

Gamechanger

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first disc after using a cup for many years and it is a gamechanger. Before, I struggled with needing to dump out my cup multiple times a day on my heaviest days and experienced leaking at night. The disc just auto dumps when I'm using the bathroom and besides one instance, I have been leak free at night. I think there is a bit of a learning curve, even coming from years of experience using a cup. It was a bit hard to tell in the beginning how it was supposed to sit when inserted correctly and its definitely not as easy as how the videos make it look to check to make sure your cervix is not outside of the cup. In the end, just tucking the rim of the cup as far up behind the pubic bone as I can does the job and I have experienced no leaks.
Awesome!

This is my first try with a disc and I have to say it was an immediate upgrade from the cups. I’ve been using a cup for about ten years but the disc I found to be way easier to insert/remove and more comfortable all around. This particular disc I like the design of too. The little spot to hook your finger is perfect. I recommend it.
