Q: What is the proper way to clean between uses and before storage?

A: Between each use, wash your hands and clean your Disc with a pH-balanced soap, like the Cora Cup & Disc Cleanse. Be sure to air dry before storing. Between each cycle, you should further sanitize your disc by boiling it in water for 5-7 minutes. After the Disc is cleaned properly and air dried, it's important that you store it in a clean, dry, breathable container.

Q: For anyone who has used flex discs, would you say these are comparable? Looking for a more environmentally friendly option.

A: The Cora Disc has some similarities and differences to the Flex Disc. First off, Flex is a one-time use, disposable product. Cora's disc is made of medical grade silicone and is reusable (up to 10 years). We designed the rim of our disc to be the most firm, compared to other reusable, silicone discs on the market. A firm rim helps with the insertion process and aids in getting the disc into the right place underneath the cervix . That said, our rim is not as firm as Flex's rim-- which is made from a BPA free polymer (not silicone). The diameter of the Cora Disc is slightly smaller than Flex (2.56"" vs 2.76""). We designed our disc in partnership with scientists and Ob/Gyns based on female anatomy, so one size should fit most women. The height of the rim of the Cora Disc is about 3/8"" - which is a bit taller than Flex's rim. We chose our rim height to increase the overall capacity of the product. The taller rim also aids in keeping the product in place underneath the cervix. The Cora Disc should work for women with high, medium and low cervices. For women with a high cervix in particular, our patent-pending finger removal notch will aid in locating the disc and removing it.

A: We created the Cora Disc with a firm rim to aid in insertion and removal. Our rim also has a convenient finger-width notch to help you locate the disc and hook your finger under the rim to remove it. In terms of overall firmness, Cora's rim is not as firm as Soft Disc because our rim is made from medical grade silicone.

The packaging of this item does not have a proper tamper proof seal, appeared someone had opened it. Decided it was not safe to use. Was not returnable. lost thirty dollars. Because of the packaging alone I would not recommend buying it.

Super comfortable wear, easy to insert and as long as you read the directions easy to remove as well! Removal is definitely messy so be prepared for that but I work it for 10 hours without any leaks or anything like that it was the first time I’ve ever been on my period and not ruined a pair of underwear! Definitely found my new favorite period product!

I liked that it was easy to insert & remove. It was comfortable, BUT it leaks! I waited to write this review after I had used this product for nearly a year now. I thought maybe it was because my flow was heavy, but even when I had a light flow, it leaked. So as much as I wanted to give this a positive review, I cannot.

I do not recommend this disk at all! It's difficult to remove because of the design. I use cups and flex disks, but this one was a no go for me. The product was too smooth to get out and once I finally got it out (after almost having a panic attack that it was stuck) I wasn't going to use it again.

Insertion and removal were pretty difficult, it would work its way up there and the lip was not easy enough to grab in order to take it out. I was putting it in correctly but it would still leak. Not at all what I was hoping for.

I’ve used SoftDiscs for years and love them so much. I thought I’d try this for a more sustainable alternative and it’s been a trickle experience. Leaks half of the time and impossible to remove. So disappointed.

Constantly leaking. Been using a Flex disc with no problems and had to get a replacement this was the only option and absolutely hate it. The lip does not work like it should if anything it makes it harder to take out. Do not buy this one!

This disc seems practical, or as a way to save money if you use the disposable ones, but it is not the same. This cup is extremely hard to remove as the little spot for your finger to remove it is hard to grasp in use. The disposable ones are much easy to “loop and pull”, this one does not function like that. I ended up having to reach over the top of the disc and push down to grasp and remove. Almost had to go to urgent care for removal. Will not use again or recommend. Do not buy this one.

I have used cups and discs for a few years so I know how to insert them properly. I needed to replace my Flex disc and decided to try this brands since target was out of stock on the Flex brand and this one was cheaper. I had to throw it away after a week. It constantly leaks with every cough, sneeze, or fart or even just squatting no matter how far in you insert it. The lip does not stay in place so you have dog for it and because it leaks it's covered in blood and almost impossible to remove cause your finger is wet and slips out of the lip. After a week I gave up and went back to the Flex brand. DO NOT BUY THIS if it's your first time trying a reusable period product. It will make you hate them

I used instead cups (which are basically the predecessor to Flex cups, just a pink rim instead of black) for over a decade. But as soon as reusable silicone disks hit the market I switched immediately to the first available which was Nixit. I had longed for a more sustainable option for years, and because I have a tilted uterus I can’t use the more common “cup” style which is so prevalent on the market. Nixit was just ok, and at $50 each wasn’t a good value, and it was also forcibly Hot Pink 😫 When I saw the Cora come out, I got so excited! Not only was it a lovely translucent smoke color, but it was half the price (they were running a special when I ordered) and even at full price it’s still a great value, especially considering it can potentially last you 10 years! The Cora is the best disk I have used as of yet!! With Instead and with the Nixit “catastrophic failure” 😅 happened somewhat regularly. As-in inadvertently bearing down whilst just going about your day and having the cup empty😭😵💫 This does not really happen with the Cora!! It has hands Down kept the best seal and has given me the most protection from leaks!! It’s rim is a little firmer then others I’ve tried and it’s been really helpful for keeping its payload while removing it!! It’s finger catch is also a lovely feature. I’ll still wear period undies as a back up on my first two days, which are my heaviest flow days, because small amounts of leaking do happen from time to time, but nothing like before Cora. Everyone should have one!! Truly a game changer for your period! I’ve been using my Cora for 2 years🖤🖤

Bought this in a pinch- on vacation and my friend came early! Needless to say I was bummed walking into Target expecting to have to deal with tampons this week but was pleasantly surprised to see the options of cups in stock. On a whim I grabbed this, and I think it’s now my go-to. For the past few years I’ve used the Nixit (and loved it) but this seems to stay a tiny better and is black already so doesn’t look gross and stained immediately. It is a little more firm so insertion and removal is a little different than I’m used to, but not difficult by any means.

I say this with all seriousness- the Cora disc has been a godsend- and I haven't even owned it for a month yet! I was reaching a moment of desperation thanks to endometriosis and fibroids, after having a lot of prolonged and often extremely heavy unscheduled bleeding episodes (anywhere from 1-4 months long). at that level of usage, tampons and pads get too expensive and irritating, and even my menstrual cups would become uncomfortable having to wear and insert/ remove so often. so, I tried the discs- starting off with the flex disposable (too big and rigid ring), flex reusable (so soft! but again way too large), then the saalt small disc (afraid it would get lost) and the saalt large (slightly too large, more firm and even more annoying when it popped out of place than the flex!). enter my goldilocks fit, the Cora disc. the very first time I inserted it, it slipped perfectly into place, with zero leaks, and I could not even feel it! and! I am sooo happy to announce this- it made mess free period fun times a reality! although both of us could still feel it was there, it eventually tucked up higher and our of the way, and has been the most comfortable option for both of us. my only issues with it are the auto dumping feature, when it's too full or, for me, whenever I go #2, I can't stop the leaking after it dumps. so I simply take it out, wash it, and put it back in. boom, another several hours of no leaks and no worries, and COMFORT. I'm absolutely in love with this little disc. it's made the suffering of my periods and bleeding so much easier to deal with, and it even reduced the cramping from horrid to liveable. I can finally feel human again. if you're on the fence, buy it! you will not regret it!

I had only ever used tampons but after 2 kids they no longer seem to fit right. I have a hard time getting them just right so it's not uncomfortable and irritating but I was so fed up. I had been hearing about cups and discs so this is the very first item like that I've tried. I have nothing to compare it to other than tampons but it is so wonderful. I cannot feel it at all once it's in place and I haven't had any leaking. I have a little difficulty getting it in but that should go away with time.
