Sucks
I'm a struggling student. I bought this recently and have tried to cook rice and soft-boil eggs in it. My rice was crunchy even after adding double the amount of water recommended for typical rice cookers and instant pots. I wasted 6 eggs because I boiled them on the highest setting for 12 minutes and they were uncooked. While trying to turn the heat down, boiling water spilled out of the spout (I did NOT have it filled up to "max") and burned my hand. This was really disappointing and I'll be returning it ASAP because I can't waste time and money like this

Hi Richard, sorry to know you're having a hard time with your Salton Multipot model MP2013. We do not recommend using this appliance to cook rice but 12 minutes in boiling water should have definitely boiled eggs. Please contact our service department. It would be our pleasure to offer assistance. Email us: service@salton.com

I bought this because I could boil water to make tea, but also reheat soups and make some quick meals. I have very limited kitchen space and although it does take a little longer than a standard kettle to boil water, it's overall a pretty decent little gadget.
