Q: The stick I got at Target store yesterday is horribly gritty. I can't use it at all. Are all the Schmidt deodorants gritty? Is it the baking soda perhaps? Nice scent, but dang, I've got no interest in sandy armpits.

A: They are all a little gritty, but they get less gritty when you warm them up. I hold it against my skin for a few seconds before rubbing; that seems to do the trick.

A: Great question! Schmidt's is not an Antiperspirant- so it won't block the body's ability to sweat- but it does help neutralize odors and will keep you feeling fresh. We have several fitness fanatics who love the way it holds up during workouts.

The Schmidt’s aluminum free deodorant is very effective and has a nice subtle scent. It is a great alternative to traditional antiperspirant/deodorants. It is quite pricey, which is the only drawback.

I've been using this aluminium free deodrant for a few years now and it works great. The smell is subtle and pretty. It is effective for a 8 hour work shift that involves a lot of moving, walking and lifting.

This product has a lovely scent that lasts without being obtrusive. It is not antiperspirant, so it won't help with sweat protection. If you haven't used natural deodorant before, wash your armpits with charcoal soap prior to your first use for the best results.

I loved the idea and concept of the deodorant stick. I like the scent, it’s quite feminine. However, I found the formula to be very irritating for my under arms.

I’ve been using Schmidt’s for a long time now. Rose and Vanilla is my favorite scent by far. Still smell nice the next morning which tells me it’s working!

I love the smell! It does work, but unfortunately with natural deodorant it doesn’t last anymore then 10 hours before I start smelling like BO. Its even less during the summer when I’m outside in the heat. I switched to a natural deodorant about 7 years ago and have yet to find one that works just as good as the toxic ones.

I have extremely sensitive underarms. However, these are a life changer! They are a bit pricey but so worth it. They have great ingredients and make all smells disappear. I recommended it to my coworker and she also loves it. Definitely switch to this!

I wanted to love this product, because Schmidt’s is all natural which is what I look for in my deodorant but I have to say this deodorant works well … keeps me dry all day . It’s a bit pricey, and they have great scents to choose from . The only thing that STOPS me from buying it again is the fact that there’s grit in the deodorant and it feels like sandpaper. Very rough on skin , I would never buy it again .

I tried this couple of times but seems to work well for little while. BUT! Not for me, it was tad scratchy if you don’t put enough heat to soften it to be less scratchy.

I love the vanilla rose scent. It doesn't irritate my armpits. It smells nice 24 hrs. It is not an antiperspirant but does keep the odor away for a long time.

Just got back from a 45 minute very sweaty workout and I mean, for the most part, I still smell like roses! So hey!! The sweat that’s on my clothes has taken a slightly sweaty smell, but I smell pretty good generally.

I’m sorry, but the scent on this is off putting. I haven’t had good luck with Schmidt’s as a brand for natural deodorant. I feel like Native, L’Occitane and Eve & CoCo just work so much better.
