Description

Cleaning your dishes has never been easier, thanks to Scrub Mommy this dual-sided scrubber and cleaning sponge from Scrub Daddy. Its ergonomic design is easy to grip—the eyes hold two fingers to prevent slippage while scrubbing deep inside cups, and the mouth cleans both sides of utensils at once. The dual-sided construction combines two high-tech materials for a versatile cleaning experience. The scratch-free scrubbing side changes texture with water temperature: firm in cold water for tough scrubbing and soft in warm water for gentle cleaning. On the other side, super-soft foam is highly absorbent and produces more suds for a rich lather. Plus, it resists odors and mold, rinses clean under running tap water, and dries quickly to stay fresh longer.

Q: What in the world is the difference between a Scrub ‘Mommy’ sponge and a Scrub ‘Daddy’ sponge?? Geez

submitted by Jo - 2 years ago

  • A: Thanks for the question, Jo. Scrub Daddy is a household scrubbing tool made from our exclusive FlexTexture® material which is a polymer foam that changes texture based on the temperature of your tap water. In cold water, Scrub Daddy becomes firm and hard; this is desirable when cleaning up burnt or sticky messes. Adversely, in warm water, it transforms into a soft and malleable sponge-like consistency good for accessing tight corners. Unlike the traditional kitchen sponge, Scrub Daddy will rinse clean of debris and remain odor-free for up to two months if cared for properly. It is also safe to use around your home on several surfaces without scratching. Scrub Mommy is a dual-sided, smile-face-shaped scrubber that is soft on one side with ResoFoam®, which is super absorbent, generates tons of suds, and is odor resistant, and scrubby on the other side with the FlexTexture® Scrub Daddy is made of. For additional assistance with these scrubbers and other Scrub Daddy products, please call us at 844-35-SCRUB (72782).

Q: Can this sponge be used to clean bathroom tubs and basins?

submitted by Just gotta know - 2 years ago

  • A: Great question. Here's a list of surfaces Scrub Mommy's FlexTexture® has been independently lab-tested safe on. Acrylic, Aluminum, Car Exterior paint, Seasoned Cast Iron, Ceramic, Chrome, Copper, Crystal, Enamel, Fiberglass, Glass, Granite, Leather, Limestone, Marble, Non-stick Coatings, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Brass, Porcelain, Soapstone, Stainless Steel, Travertine, Vinyl, Wood, Quartz To avoid accidental damage, test on a small inconspicuous area first.

NOT dye-free, check before you buy

These used to be my favorite Scrub Daddy product for years. However, they are no longer dye-free even though they're advertised as dye-free. The sponge side is no longer white, it's colored yellow :-(

    Scrub Mommy sponge

I love this dye free version and the fact it’s soft on one side and more of a scrubbing sponge on the other. I feel these sponges hold up compared to other brands and I just find them fun to use. Looking forward to a Halloween themed one this year.

    Versatile and Effective Scrub Sponge

The Scrub Mommy sponge is easy to use and does a great job cleaning. I like that it holds up well and lasts for a good amount of time. The double-sided design is especially useful since I can use each side for different cleaning purposes. A handy sponge to have around the house!

Love the idea of the Scrub Daddy/Mommy products, they seem to be a great quality product but they are just too big for my needs, only reason why I returned it. Gave it 4 stars because the quality seems good. Just not the item for me.
