Worked amazing the first time and after charging the battery for the 2nd time and after, it does not hardly have any power. Would not buy again, too expensive for it to do that

Rule number one: Read The Friendly Manual. The box: It works the same as a pizza box, easy to open and the foam insert keeps everything in place. 10/10 all small RCs should do this. The preperation: USB charger so if you bring a powerbank you can take it pretty much anywhere. Landing gear is friction fit into plastic slots, easy in and out if you choose to use it. I usually fly over grass but that may change, this thing can do touch-and-gos. The battery compartment is a little tight and comes with a securing screw which it doesn't really need. 9/10. The flight: The flight computer is very powerful, it controls the maximum angles of attack for all axiis. For hand launching when you give it throttle it automatically pulls up, it climbes for a bit but it does level off once it picks up speed. For rolling takeoffs just give it full power and full up, the computer won't let it stall. It will climb very fast, it will descend very fast (and all the way to the ground if you tell it to). It has a maximum roll angle and uses differential thrust to counter adverse yaw. In no-wind it flies on rails. 10/10. The landing: If belly landing just power off and pull up a bit. If you have wheels it's a bit more tricky, the maximum up angle is high enough that it will tail-strike, and the landing gear is very springy, so it is possible to flip it on a hard landing. It may be possible to do long wheelies with differential thrust steering, more experimenting is needed. Both the plane and the controller have speakers in them and will insistantly beep at you when the battery is running low. 9/10 (devs: maybe move the main gear back a bit to avoid tail-strikes?). Complaint 1: I had hoped for an advanced mode to turn the angle limiter off and give full differential thrust authority, I'd love to see this do inverted flight and stall-turns. It's got the power. I'm probably going to buy another one to convert to hobby-grade. Complaint 2: While the USB charger is reasonably quick, it would have been nice to have 2 batteries out of the box.

Very lightweight and really fast - it says up to 35MPH! It can even do flips and rolls. The plane itself includes a lithium battery but the controller does need batteries - just be aware. Would make a great gift for a kid (12 on up) or adult.

been looking for something to fly other than a quadcopter. The Vector is really fast and fun. The auto stabilization worked great and helped me keep it under control. It was able to do loops and barrel rolls. My kids were even able to fly it which was great. I definitely recommend it!

This stunt plane is so cool! It works really well and the battery life is so long!! I love the look of it, my kids love the colors. It goes pretty high and it’s very easy to use. I do recommend getting the extra battery pack because it’s so fun you won’t want to stop playing!

Pretty cool jet. It flys really high, has a really long range and is easy to maneuver. The battery is small and rechargeable for the jet itself, but the controller does require regular batteries. It can take some time to get used to the controller but once you get the hang of it its easy to fly. It's also pretty sturdy. The dog got a hold of it and its still working. The only thing is I don't recommend flying in the evening as its hard to see it.

The plane is made out of Styrofoam and is very light weight. It feels flimsy. It comes with all the parts and even back-up propellers and repair tape! The battery must be charged before hand, but only took me 30 minutes of being charged with a laptop (it is USB). I had difficulty getting the plane to take-off, it kept veering off course before the actual lift off. I kept trying and it took off. But I kept crashing it because it just happens so fast. I learned i need to be in an area without trees -- I think my plane fancies itself a bird because it kept nesting in trees.

This is a nicely made stunt jet. We had a nice time playing with it during our vacation. It was pretty easy to use. It did some nice stunts and worked better than I expected. It seems pretty durable. It wasn’t too heavyweight. It felt comfortable to hold and easy to manage.

This Sky Viper Vector Performance Stunt Jet is super fun! My daughter and her friend had a great time playing with it in the back yard when it arrived. It feels like a really dense Styrofoam and it's very light weight. It was easy to control and simple to get started out of the box.

This is a cool jet, that 2 younger teen boys enjoyed going outside to fly. It had a few parts to assemble, but it was quite easy. It does take practice to fly, and you have to throw it to get it going. Unfortunately, it broke fairly quickly and was not able to fly.

You probably won't have this happen to you, but make sure you understand how to operate and have the controller knobs at neutral before turning on. Otherwise you might get a nasty cut from the plastic blades which go a zillion miles and hour upon starting. I love that it comes with extra pieces and tape for repairs. This is super fun to play with but without have a lot of flying toy experience there is a learning curve

This stunt jet is so cool. Both of my older boys loved using it. However, it is foam, so hard impacts, which happened a lot, did cause some cracks in the foam. It was fast really cool watching it do some stunts. It definitely has a learning curve, but it was fun to learn and try new tricks. Love that it is rechargeable!

Could have been great

Instructions are easy to follow and its very easy to connect remote to the plane. Got a couple flights out of it before I crashed it a little hard and one engine wouldnt refire. It is beeping like a crash has been detected but it won't reset even following the instructions. It's great that it comes with extra propellers and tape to fix it up. This could have been a great toy for my older kids if it weren't for the engine failure.

Styrofoam, but strong propulsion

Pyxie83 - 4 months ago
This is a pretty powerful plane in a pretty compact package. I didnt realize it was made of styrofoam until I opened it up. This makes it very susceptible to being blown all over the place by the wind, since its nearly weightless. However, once the controls were figured out, we were able to use the wind to our advantage. We havent quite gotten the hang of doing stunts, but its a process. Im sure my boys will be back at it on a cooler, less windy day.

Sky viper

4 out of 5 stars
Meldubois19 - 4 months ago
The sky viper is made mostly of foam for easy gliding in the air. The controller was easy to use and it flew very well in the sky as long as it wasn’t too windy out. You can toss it in the air to fly or take off on a flat surface. The controller took (3) AAA batteries and the plane came with a charging cable. You do have to have an adapter to use the cord. It came with mending tape if the foam would to break but we have not had any issues in needing that replaced. The front wheel has started to bend and I wish it came with an extra wheel because landing can wreck the wheels if you’re not careful. My 13 years has really enjoyed this stunt plane and how it can loop in the sky.

This item is very delicate it is not for younger ages to play with. You do need a good size area to play with it. It takes some time to learn how to fly it. Had a great time playing with it!! We did have to put a tire back on after flying it in to the house .

Remote jet

The aircraft is incredibly light, being made out of some tough styrofoam. The controller takes three AAA batteries while the aircraft has a rechargeable battery. Turn both in and put the wheels on the jet and find a large smooth area to take off! Every time I had the controller, I had trouble getting the propulsion to work well but others had a better control with the controls. It’s fun getting it to take off but hard to get the controls to do what you want. It’s taken a few hard landings so far and keeps going back up for more falls.
