The worst $10 I have ever spent in my entire life! this could be $0.99 and it would still be overpriced. Complete garbage! Difficult to assemble for what it is, absolutely will not stay together no matter what. Complete waste of resources making this and waste of money purchasing it. Target should be ashamed, they need to pull this item from their stores.

Wish I could copy and paste the other review before me. This thing is complete garbage. The pieces don’t stay together. It won’t stand up. I had trouble putting it together as an adult, and my son couldn’t do any of it. It was useless, fell apart the day we built it, and went to the trash. I paid $4.50 for it and it wasn’t worth it.

I wouldn't purchase this again even if I found it at the Dollor Store
I bought two of these Smithsonian dinosaur fossil kits—one for each of my sons. My first son’s reaction after opening it was, “Don’t buy this for your kid’s birthday, and don’t buy this for your kid’s Christmas.” My second son said he would give it half a star. I only purchased them because they were on sale for $6, but even at that price they ended up being frustrating and disappointing. The pieces didn’t fit together well, and once assembled the dinosaur wouldn’t even stand up or stay together. These are not the same quality as the fossil kits that used to be available several years ago, which were much better made. Unfortunately this version feels cheaply made and poorly designed. Based on our experience, I do not recommend purchasing this kit. See the photos I attached showing the issues.
