SOG - Parashears Multi-Tool

Use this in the field, the additional features are pretty unnecessary but the main purpose of the shears works wonders! They cut through aluminum, leather, and layered clothing! Iv used them on actual patients, and it gets the job done quick and simple. If you don’t want to spend hundreds on raptors, this is the same thing with a-bit more accessories that does the same exact thing for cheaper. I put mine through the test of my job in EMS, and they still are held together.

The shears work great. The case should be solid all the way around. I have had mine come out of the pouch several times. The tools are in an awkward position. The glass breaker should be on the end, would make aiming for a good break easier in an emergency.. I would give a better rating if the case wasn't so bad, the other tools are just extra.

Perfect for my First Aid Kit and I would recommend these to anyone. Very high quality and amazingly well designed.

I really want to love this pair of shears but the tools are not usable at all. Shears have performed as they should but the other tools are placed poorly. The glass break is almost unusable with the other tools being a waste. The strap cutter should be placed elsewhere on the tool to make it useable. The Leatherman Raptors are by far superior to SOGs version. I’ll be going back to them and throwing these is a drawer. Not to mention the cloth sheath didn’t make it a week and there are no replacements on the market!!!

Love these shears!!! Work in the hospital setting so the ability to survive sterilization is paramount! Great cutting force, and not only more tools than the Raptor but more relevant tools. I've had these for over 6 months now and the quality is great! Still cut like new. However, the holster that comes with the shears is less than stellar and there aren't many aftermarket options for carrying these shears. Unfortunately they are a little heavy to carry in a pocket... SOG, make a clip in holster for these!!!!!!

Have had theses for a few weeks and am pleasantly pleased. I hope that there longevity is as good as the performance. The power of the cut through performance is awesome.

The Parashears are a fantastic tool to add to a kit but not so much for carry. There is no decent holster as nobody wants to carry the shears open in that nylon sheath. It also has no pocket clip like the Leatherman Raptor. Add a decent holster (multiple attachment options) and a window breaker and it would be far better than the Raptor

What an amazing tool. As a first responder, I have used this tool several times and it has gone well without fail. I highly recommend this tool!

The para shears are wonderful, a great addition to not only camping gear, but to bug out bags we keep ready in case of wildfires. The only reason they didnt get 5 stars were because of the sheath. Its just a bit awkward and fussy, something maybe with a restraining strap would go a long way toward making them more easily accessible. But in the grand scheme of things though, i would highly recomend them (i will definitely be ordering another pair for myself since the first pair was a valentine's gift)

I purchased for my Son in law that is a physician to go in his Go Bag.. he loves your products and these were on his Christmas list..

For paramedics or military work, the tool is good. I'll speak out in defense: many people write that the glasshouse is inconvenient and not there. I would make it bigger. Practice holding in your hand for maximum effect. From what I could finish: I would definitely make the clip and move the saw to another handle and make it longer. But for your money, it's a wonderful and very good tool! I recommend it.

I like SOG knives and have owned a few in the past. As a patroller, this was a similar product to the Raptor, which is very popular. However, the first pair I got the black paint was being scratched off the shears when folding and exchanged the day I received it. The second pair broke literally the first time I used them. The screwdriver, which I'm glad it has (as snowboard bindings frequently need adjustment), is very flimsy and brittle, breaking off and rendering it unusable. Come to find out, this tool is not covered under warranty. It has been sitting in the box ever since. It is also substantially larger than the Raptor when folded and doesn't have a clip, meaning that the case must be used or it has to be placed in a pocket. Good ideas, but needs a redesign to address issues.

I’ve had these for a few weeks and I like them so much that I could carry them daily. I have a few suggestions so far. The glass breaker should be in the end and not the side. The seat belt ripper should fold the other direction so it can be used when the scissors are closed. I love grown too love these type of hook blades btw. I think it needed a pocket clip so much that I added one today. Do you sell a pocket clip that would work better? This one is usable for now and does not seem to interfere with the shears so far.

is a person who's been a collector of knives and has a few SOG knives I can look at this and tell that it's something that everyone needs in their car and one in their house and it's made very well I can see from the metal it's made out of may very well well worth the money

I'm a firefighter/EMT and I bought these for work. The only aspects of the tool I consider of value to me, are the compact design, the sheets, the seatbelt cutter, and the glass breaker. I can also see the O2 key being handy. The extra tools on board seem a little silly, but I suppose it makes for better marketing. People outside of emergency services may consider purchasing if it's got a screw driver? Haha maybe. The only issue I have, and it's a big issue, is with the carry pouch. Perhaps I received a poorly crafted pouch, but it is too loose for the shears. With any running or shaking, the shears fall out of the side of the pouch. I had to mod mine with gorilla tape so that I won't lose them. I hope future models will feature a more secure pouch. Other than that, I recommend this product.

Slick little tool. Easy to carry or put in my pack. Great quality and perfect how it folds up.

Paramedic here, Love how light these are, I wear them on my belt when I’m on my truck and I can hardly tell they are there. I wish they had a pocket clip just because they are so light and thin, but not a deal breaker and well protected with pouch anyway. But I absolutely love these things! Just love that they have multiple tool within design, and they honestly go everywhere with me everyday in my bag. But at work they stay on my belt or vest!

The ParaShears perform great in a day to day basis. I have no complaints other than the fact that the spiked tip of the glass breaker fell of after a couple of days.

Compact, strong, handy. Good storage pouch. Perfect complement to my aid gear. The black pair blends in but always handy for dressings or seatbelts.
