Not as good as the WF-1000XM4
I bought this as a replacement for my WF-1000XM4, which I had for 3 years and were excellent. Have to say disappointed with the XM5 as the sound quality is just not as good. Overall the sound feels much more closed in that the XM4 model, with a narrower sound stage.

Not worth it
I lost my Bose QC Ultra earbuds and decided to give Sony a try. Unfortunately, the call quality is disappointing — people I speak to can hear their own voice echoing, or they can barely hear me at all. Calls also disconnect from the phone quite often, which is frustrating. On the positive side, music quality is very good, which is what you’d expect from Sony. Overall, great for listening to music, but poor call performance compared to Bose.

Good sound quality, but not great noise cancelling
Good headphones, but noise cancelling is disappointing considering the claims. Using the app to adjust the EQ, I was able to get just the sound I like, nice and bright but with a decent amount of bass (mostly rock music). The selection of earbuds mean I was able to get them comfortable, and the ability to test how well they seal is very good. My disappointment is the noise cancelling ability. Sony make very bold claims about it, but it’s just not that great - average at best. I accept buds will always struggle compared to over ear cans, but my Bose QC Ultra Quiet’s make a noisy room silent when wearing them, with no sound playing though them. These Sony earbuds in the same situation had me looking in the app to turn noise cancelling on, only to find it was already on. Quite disappointing.

Terrible noise cancelling capability
Zero noise cancelling - extremely disappointed with this and would absolutely return this if I could (believe me I already tried) I used a predecessor which worked great and unfortunately bought this new model in good faith smh

Great buds, but you may have fitment issues
There is no doubting the quality of these earbuds, for sound, build quality and features. So on that front they get 5 star. However, the big problem I encountered with these earbuds is that they just didn't fit. I couldn't get any of the ear tips to seal correctly and in addition, the foam IMHO is too hard and not playable enough. I found that my old CN700's gave a better feel when wearing. I am really disappointed that these buds just don't work for me as in all other aspects they are pretty amazing.

Great buds and excellent quality
These were a Christmas gift and I have found them to be excellent for all my needs for listening too music, the ANC is probably the best I’ve had for quite some time and the quality of the music separation is also excellent, the bud tips that came with the ear buds are in enough sizes to suit most people, all in all I am very, very impressed and happy with these buds from Sony

Great. But not for active excersises eith ANC On.
Excellent noise cancelation. Sound quality very good. The only thing that disappointed me was that when exercising with a cardio elliptical trainer, it feels like there's a bump in both headphones when you do the same movement, for example, you go up and down a little faster, only with noise cancellation turned off.

Great earbuds, fit isn't that good.
Very high tech earbuds, very impressed with ambient sound which allows you to hear surroundings. Great app aswell. Connect to multiple device, mic quality is good. My earbuds don't fit as nicely as I would want, my right ear stays in most of the time with the earplug it came with and it feels slright, however, the earplug on the left ear feels uncomfortable, I have tried all the smaller earplugs and the larger one, they all have the same issue, they don't feel right. Just when I thought the earplug feels good is when I start to experience issues, either it is too close to earhole because it is too small or it doesn't fit as nicely where it can fall out. I tried changing what the buttons do use the app but was unable but I haven't google how to do it. The options I pressed seem to not do it

Great Features -Multi-point conn. Audio quality
I boought this last month from Macy's. I am a music lover and have a good experience of audio quality and spectrus distriution by listening a same song in multiple devices. This device is delivering quality output without noise and clipping even in high volume. also the low frequency signals are not getting attenuated at any level of volume. Another feature is I am using more than 3 device in my daily life. And able to switch the connection without any struggle. Sleek design also

Avoid
The worst high-end earbuds in all categories. Randomly disconnects, ambient audio is poor, comfort is lacking, and controls are hit or miss.

The best in-ear buds by FAR!
Absolutely brilliant audio and noise cancelling, purchased these to replace some linkbuds that had dying batteries and was immediately impressed with the difference in quality. The tips are a nice firm foam based style which stay stuck inside your ears much better than the rubber ones. Build quality is excellent with really firm magnets in the case holding the earphones firmly inside. Charging for just 10 minutes easily gives you an hour or so listening. Very happy with purchase

the options of different head phone buds
I brought my Sony WF-1000MX5 not so long ago though they are small they it me ears very well. they work very well right out of the box. The only concern I have is that when you have to update the software, because I a have an older Sony phone the Sony Experia L3, I encounter some problems, all apart from that I would recommend the headphones to any body interested in them. I'II look forward to the upgrade as well.

The war buds feel very premium, are comfortable and sound great. That connect very quickly. A few minor issues I noticed. The case seems to absorb dirt, although a case protector has fixed that issue. The option to cut the music when speech is hear is in theory excellent, but when the music suddenly stops because you start singing to your favourite track, you will probably disable it like I did. Finally I found with noise cancellation, ever step I took seemed to echo through my ear canal. It is very disconcerting at first!
