While it could be used indoors in a very large space with proper safety surfacing, we do not recommend indoor use unless these safety requirements can be fully met. For optimal safety, Step2 recommends using approved loose-fill surfacing materials like wood mulch or rubber mulch rather than placing it directly on grass, concrete, or asphalt. If you're concerned about tipping or movement on grass, you may want to create a bordered play area with loose-fill surfacing, or consult with a local installer about options that comply with outdoor play safety standards.
