Q: Can I wear this on top of makeup?

A: Yes! That's why I bought it. The package instructions say do NOT spray directly on face, but if you're careful, it's fine. Just don't open your eyes right away, obviously. The number of Amazon reviews I read for this product that said it burned their eyes was crazy. It's a light mist that doesn't make me feel sticky or anything. It dries nicely. I have oily skin for reference. The smell is wonderful, like bananas. I like that.

Q: Why is this product called a "face mist" if it says do not apply directly to face - spray onto your hands and then rub on your face? That's just regular sunscreen but double the price.

It's very lightweight and smells nice. I like that it dries nicely on top of my make up. It is expensive, but I like the thin bottle so I can carry it easily when I leave the house day to day since I'm in the sun a lot after my 9-5 desk job.

It does dry down nice and sheer and doesn't make me feel oily or shiny as someone who has oily skin. I enjoy it. I used it for the first time on vacation recently over my make up and didn't have any problems.

I've tried several sun bum products but this one is not one I would recommend. The worst part about this one is that I found that when it got to hot and I started to sweat it would run into my eyes, it happened on multiple occasions which isn't great for a suncare product. I am going to finish the bottle by using it on my arms, but this is not a great option for my face. The only thing I like about it is it was a nice idea to have a spray sunscreen that isn't in an aerosol can.

Like many of the positive reviews: I really enjoy this product. I spent a lot of time reviewing other face sunscreen options before buying this one. I decided on this one because the positive reviews outweighed the negative reviews when compared to other face sunscreens. The price is a bit high, but I like how sleek and thin the bottle is which makes it easier to carry day to day for reapplication. I specifically bought this one to wear over makeup. I know the packaging says do NOT spray directly onto face, but if you're careful, it's fine. Idk why people keep saying it burns your eyes. Obviously if you open your eyes before the product is dry, it's gonna burn. It's sunscreen. Idk what those people were doing. I spray it directly on my face at a distance and then fan my face to help it dry. It dries down sheer and doesn't make me feel oily or greasy. This is especially great since I have oily skin. I love the way it smells. I know everyone's senses are different, but it smelled like bananas and vacation to me. Although it's pricey, I recommend this one, especially if you're looking for something easy to carry around to reapply throughout the day over makeup. But of course, every has different skin so check the information and ingredients for yourself.

I really wanted to try a sunscreen mist because I don’t like using sunscreen. I was disappointed to find that it burns my face and eyes when using and smells really gross. However, it is a really easy way to use sunscreen. Probably not worth it.
