This thermometer is compact in size, folds away for convenient storage, and has a built in carrying hole. The small size is perfect to take along for grilling, tailgating, or vacations. The thermometer has a wide temperature range of -40° F to 392° F (-40° C to 200° C) that can be read on the large 0.7” LCD readout. The thermometer comes with an ON/OFF button on the back of the unit along side the C/F switch. The thermometer runs on one LR44 battery (included).
Helpful hints: Digital thermometers are not meant to be left in food during cooking. The plastic and electronic components could be damaged with excessive heat.

I used this a few times a week to check temperature of meat while cooking. It had held up pretty well, after about 7 months the little plastic piece holding the needle started to break but it held on for 2 more months till today when it finally totally broke off. But it was pretty good on everything else. For $8 it’s pretty good. It also came with a temperature guide on the packaging that I cut out and reference sometimes.

The thermometer itself works well but the button battery compartment is very flimsy and comes off easily. I received a replacement from Target but the issue is the same for the new one, so I think it’s just a bad design. Not a huge deal but if you have dogs/kids it’s important to have button batteries secure of course. So while the thermometer works well, I’m not a fan unfortunately!

The worst meat thermometer. It takes 10+ seconds for it to read the temperature. It only increments by ~15 degrees. For example if the room temperature is 65F, it will increment by 10-15 degrees to whatever your meat temperature is. Buy one on Amazon, they’re all way better. The temperature reading is instant.

We have used this 2 times and it’s already broken. Not the digital part but the probe and plastic part have broke. Junk
