I scheduled a half hour call with the Tot Squad to get some much needed advice for my toddler who has turned into a picky eater. I was concerned that he wasn’t getting the nutrition he needed and more than that, that we were allowing bad habits to set in. After experiencing some technical difficulties getting our video call started, my coach Sara listened closely to my concerns and dug deep into our current eating routine. She eased my concerns that from a nutritional perspective, my toddler was likely just fine. What a relief. She then gave some great tips and tricks to start changing his eating habits. Cutting new foods into fun shapes or different cutting techniques (fries, diced, etc) are some tricks I’ve tried incorporating and they work - he at least tries the food which is a win. She also set some ground rules for us as parents to take control back from our toddler - it’s easy to enable him to avoid a tantrum but Sara provided some steps to help set boundaries around mealtime. The price tag is a little steep for the half hour consult, but I did get a lot of value out of it and would recommend this service to anyone who’s tried scouring the internet and is looking for some advice customized to your particular child. I could not book an appointment with a Tot Squad certified expert, when I went to book there were no times left. As a busy parent, I tried to call and had no success with any phone numbers. I very much enjoyed the Tot Squad Feeding and Baby-Led Weaning Support Session. It was so great to be able to connect with a professional, even while I was on the go. The nutritionist I worked with was able to provide very helpful information for feeding my 9 month old. My baby is transitioning from purées to solids. I received guidance on what foods to offer and how to offer them. We discussed choking risks and if and when to intervene. The nutritionist was thorough and took the time to answer all of my questions. The appointment was very simple to book. The only issue I had was that I did not receive a link for the meeting after I booked it but fortunately the nutritionist reached out to me and was able to assist. I would definitely recommend that other parents add some or all of these sessions to their baby registries and may book another session on sleep myself! I really enjoyed my 30 minute consultation with a Tot Squad Feeding & Baby-Led Weaning Support with Certified Nutritionist. My biggest complaint is that it was only 30 minutes! My oldest, who's now almost 6, has been an extreme picky eater since he turned 1. We have tried it all and heard it all. I wasn't sure what more we could hear that would be helpful from Tot Squad. My Nutritionist was great and while she did give suggestions that I've heard before, she was also able to come up with some solutions of how we could implement those suggestions that have been hard to put in place before. Having 4 kids ages 5 and under, it is difficult to put a lot some of the things we need to do in place. My Nutritionist also has 4 young kids and was helpful in working through some of those challenges. Like I mentioned before, I think 30 minutes was too short to really get into the depth I wanted, but for a first time consultation, it was great. She was able to give some good starting points, validate the difficulties we have with our picky eater, and made me feel less alone. I loved how easy it was to book a Zoom session. They had lots of availability on weekends, evenings, and during the day, which is so helpful for busy parents. I think a service like this is really helpful for all moms and would a great thing to add for registries. I love the idea of this on a registry, because as a mom who just had her 4th child, I had all the "things" I needed for my new baby, but services like this are things are always helpful no matter what number child it is. The Tot Squad Feeding and Baby Led Weaning Support with Certified Nutritionist was AMAZING! The whole process was easy and on my schedule. There were many time slots available, including evenings, so I could chat with my nutritionist after work. I have spoken to my pediatrician about my picky 2 year old refusing to eat meat and get any form of iron, and my two year old was put on an iron supplement. My Tot Squad expert helped me come up with a ton of other options. She suggested adding eggs in other foods like French toast and a Dutch baby for breakfast since my little will not touch scrambled eggs. She suggested making homemade gummies to get some healthy snacks instead of store bought ones. It was amazing to get to talk to a nutritionist to help come up with new ideas, and let me know I was not the only mom going through this with a picky 2 year old. My nutritionist even emailed me recipes and ideas at the end of our session! I would recommend this for every parent that is struggling with picky eater. Some of the ideas my nutritionist had will take some time to prepare, which might be hard as a working mom, but she also came up with ideas that take no time at all to get me started! The website was easy to use and there was a ton of available times to choose from that worked best for my schedule. It gave an email confirmation, too and added to my calendar. I received this product as part of the stellar product testing panel. I like the idea of having a one on one with an expert in baby led weaning. The downside is there isn’t an option to easily reschedule or get in contact with someone if needed. I had a family emergency come up but couldn’t figure out how to reschedule or get in contact with someone.

I opted for a phone call but a virtual visit was also an option. The dietitian was very helpful, she explained a little more about why my daughter might not be trying new things and provided me with tips on how to get her to try new foods.
