Won't connect to wifi

Would not recommend this tv. I thought this brand was good but I was wrong. We made two attempts at connecting to wifi at two different locations and it never worked. Ended up returning and going with Westinghouse and it’s worked perfect.

Like many have noted , it's a terrible purchase. It was incredibly disappointing as I have had many Vizios. This isn't our main household TV but is used frequently as my nighttime TV. There is a consistent delay between the remote and the television responding. Not a dealbreaker but very frustrating. The real deal breaker is how the TV frequently disconnects from our wi-fi, which is very strong. The other is that it requires frequent restarts, by unplugging from the wall. I would avoid this purchase. Vizio should pull this from the market. If you've ever watched Office Space - the scene with the printer, I think that's a great thing to use this TV for.

I always knew that this model j09 didn't come with ethernet which explains that since it only accepts the 2.4 GHz signal through casting Wi-Fi casting I have a five point I have a 5 gigahertz signal going into the TV show what tends to happen is a lot of pixelation so but 400 bucks it is what it is you know you can't expect to have it all, not at this price point

Shipping in original package is not a good idea, the item came defective. Had to drop off return at a UPS and wait for a new one to arrive. The second TV arrived in Bubble wrap and a Target Box, much better. The TV works great and is exactly what I wanted. The turn around time was 10 days to get a working TV. I will definitly buy from the store next time. Shipping TVs not such a good idea when in original package.

Terrible TV

We've been watching this TV for 2 months now - and I can't believe we're already talking about replacing it with another. First, it won't let us download apps. If we want to watch something on an app that isn't preloaded, we have to cast it from the phone! This works, but has drawbacks. With casting, we cannot fast forward or rewind; no closed captioning. Plus it's a pain. Second, it randomly turns off. This happens when watching over-the-air channels - it just turns black and (eventually) sends us back to the home page. On occasion, it gets stuck on a frozen image and just plays the sound of the show we're watching. This only happens with over-the-air channels as well. We've had to unplug and replug to get it going again way too often. This seems to work for a lot of problems, but why should I have to? It's nuts! It's so frustrating to watch! We want to return it!

Known issue

Just bought a new one to replace my old one that turns off/on randomly (very inconsistent and unusable). I just searched online and there are a lot of trouble shooting articles, so that appears to be know. Buyer be ware of the 1 year warranty and that this monitor may become useless at the 13 month mark…. Quite disappointing based on this KNOWN issue…

The fact it was re-boxed is beyond me and when I plugged this tv in it showed a black crack screen but the outside appears looked new. Horrible! The only good thing was I had the chance to exchange it with no problem which was very awesome. I brought a bigger tv which was perfect.
