Q: If I buy a dual hose conditioner do I have to use both hoses or can I just use exhaust hose

Q: Is this unit noisy? How often do you need to remove the water from the unit?
A: This item has a noise level (dBA) of <56. <br><br> The air conditioner uses the patented auto drain or self-evaporative technology which exhausts condensation automatically in most environments. Please note that if the humidity is very high, the auto drain function will still exhaust the majority of the moisture. Q: Are there hoses to be attached to the 2 round vent-like holes in the back of the machine?
A: All portable air conditioners on the market require venting which removes the hot air in the room in order to bring the temperature down. this model includes a mandatory exhaust hose and an optional intake hose. Q: What's the difference between this unit and a ARC–14SH?
A: The difference between the Whynter ARC-14S, ARC-14SH and ARC-143MX models is: ARC-14S has cooling, dehumidifying and fan modes; ARC-14SH has the same features as the ARC-14S with an added heating mode; ARC-143MX has cooling, dehumidifying and fan modes.
