A: Filter life is not gauged in time, we use gallons which is much more accurate. Every ZeroWater system comes with a TDS Meter to test the filter water and once the reading gets to 006ppm or higher it is time to change the filter. Average filter life is 20 to 25 gallons of filtered water per filter.

A: Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. There are 3 sizes of filters. Filters labeled as ZeroWater filters are compatible with all ZeroWater pitchers and the 30 cup dispenser. Common model numbers for replacement filters for pitchers are ZR-001, ZR-017, ZR-006, ZR-008, and ZR-012. Filters labeled as mini replacement filters or portable replacement filters will not work with the pitchers or the 30 cup dispenser.

We have used zero Water Filters for years and one filter usually lasted at least 4 weeks. Im not sure what the company is doing... but they are cutting corners somewhere. Recently... I have to change the filters almost weekly...two weeks at most... and my tap water is at the same levels it has always been when tested. Also the TDS jumps up to way over 350-375 even thought my TAP water measures at 225 TDS using their device. I guess it'stime to lookfor another filtration system.

Water coming out of the filter (even new) tastes acidic, and after a few pitchers, I noticed that it began to give a higher ppm than the tap water. Also, the first pour it was still over the replacement amount of 006 ppm

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. A change in the taste of the water is indicative of a filter that has been used beyond the point of exhaustion. In order to avoid a change in the taste of the water, use the included TDS meter to test the filtered water regularly and change the filter when the meter reads 006 on filtered water.

I purchased these OEM filters knowing they work the best. I love these. I use them for my Utrasonic Humidifier and there is no sediment accumulation in the humidifier. My problem is that the desctiption says under the specifications, "Features: Electronic Filter-Life Indicator." Where is this? there in no battery on the filters and no indicator.

I know these filters have gone up in price, but when I tried a substitute brand, my water had a distinct taste that was unpleasant, and I noticed the water passed through those filters very quickly. Zero Water is great tasting and still cheaper than the delivered water I used to get.

I started using Zero Water filter a couple of years ago, and noted that the built quality has been deteriorating. The most recent purchase is the worst. The rough finish of the filter thread is shocking--- see picture attached. I have a video of water dripping from the side instead of through filter, but somehow cannot upload. I may have to start looking for alternative brand.

If yours “leaks,” you need to unscrew it & redo it. The threads aren’t lined up - fix it. FILTER LIFE IS CONTINGENT ON HOW HARD YOUR WATER IS!!! This is common sense. Some will replace filter quicker than others. This is thoroughly explained in the pamphlet included with the product. The harder your water, the faster the filter change. It’s why you have a meter! If it smells fishy, change the filter! This works. It’s a shame people refuse to read the materials included with this product, let alone the description on the listing…then want to leave a bad review because of their ignorance.
Quality is not as expected the leak, and sometimes they don't thread into the water filter.

They used to come with hard plastic lids on top. Now they come with foil. This is our second time receiving these water filters with the foil. We have had to return one whole box as they would not stop leaking and now we’re trying to return the next one we got as one won’t even thread into the water filter. They are all the sudden inferior Products.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. We empathize with your situation and we have spoken with many customers with this issue. Some of our customers have used other, traditional filtration systems such as a Culligan Whole House Filter to treat the water prior to filtering through a Zero Water filter, in many cases that will cut the TDS level down enough to make the use of Zero Water more economical. There is very little we can do to extend the life of our filters when the water supply is so high in TDS. Our filters are designed to remove over 99% of dissolved solids; in areas with high TDS readings filter life will be short.

Have been buying these filters for years and while we still like the product, there seems to be a serious drop off in quality lately. At least two out of the box of four we bought leaked or couldn't be screwed in properly and had to be tossed. I like that these filters (when they work) remove so many contaminants but at these prices, they really should work!

Please try removing the filter, drying off the threaded area of the filter with a paper towel, then reinstalling, giving the filter one more hard twist the the right to complete the seal. Loving my new ZeroWater Pitcher and the filters really work. First reading with new filter was 0.02! Way better than older Brita and Pur pitchers. Gets rid of more elements and chemicals. Water taste is refreshing. Would highly recommend the Zero Water products. Ordered a larger dispenser for my son and his family. I believe they will also enjoy theirs.

Bought 1 pack of these. Each one didn't last long. the filtered water started to smell like fish & taste like fish. it's due to the poor ion exchange. the anions produced trimethylamine and now I have to deep clean my entire system. I didn't even use hot water for the system. im going to end up throwing the entire system away. not worth the money.

All 4 filters leaked a lot. Do not buy. I called zero water and they said the new filters have a thinner rubber ring which is what causes do leak. It’s not a tight seal.

If you simply give the filter one more hard twist the the right in the vast majority of cases it will complete the seal. If the filter will not seal we will always replace it. And the thicker O-Rings will be back on the filters in the near future as well.
