We use this detergent during hunting season (if you know, you know) and it works really well! Most of the time, I prefer a scented detergent but this is good if you want something clean and free of all of that!!

If you have sensitive skin this really is the best product you can use. I used other major brands and sometimes it would make me itchy just with the residue that it would leave on my clothing. I noticed that stop happening altogether with Seventh Generation laundry soap.

By far my favorite detergent and the best scent. I’m a little sensitive to smells but don’t like a totally fragrance-free detergent. This one smells fresh, not fake and flowery. Works well. Wish it weren’t so hard to find. Please make all your products in Citrus and distribute more widely!

This is my go to laundry detergent when I want to make sure my clothes get clean, but also don’t have a soapy or scent filled residue. I know it will be gentle and not contain harmful chemicals! And it has kept to a fair price!

The new biobased formula doesn't clean my husband's clothes nearly as well as the previous formula did. I have to use twice as much detergent which negates the efficiency of the product. It's not smooth, it's chunky when it pours which seems odd, but at least there's nothing left in my machine's dispenser. I also have to make sure I pre-treat any stains. It used to be okay if I missed one and remembered after I started the load. The detergent worked well enough that it got most stains out anyway. Not now. The quality has decreased in this new formula. And the lid on the bottle! OY! Don't get me started! This bottle is so badly designed, the mess is everywhere. You're either forced to rinse the cap with every use or toss it in the washer every time, neither of which works for my situation. I can't tell you how glad I am that I kept the old 128 load shelf bottle to transfer to. Between the lesser cleaning ability and the bad bottle design, I'm seriously considering just going back to Tide. An item I chose to move away from to begin with. I might recommend this with caveats.

The new cap design is horrendous! The product pours all over the place, which is incredibly wasteful annd incredibly frustrating. I also miss cardboard bottle with plastic insert. It was much more efficient when it came to space and a lot easier to dispose of. Seventh generation has been one of our family’s core brands for decades. I am saddened by how products are evolving and will likely have to switch brands.

Been using this for years. I may stop using and find something else due to the new cap design, which is the worst, most poorly designed cap I have ever seen. Leaks and leaves a mess everywhere. Wastes the product. I've decanted the new bottle into the old bottle twice now, which is a hassle and leaves a mess just doing that.

This detergent has been a total game-changer for us. Both my husband and I have really sensitive skin — anything too strong or heavily fragranced triggers allergic reactions. I personally break out in hives if I use the wrong product, so finding something that actually works without irritation felt impossible… untill this. This detergent is fragrance-free, gentle, and still manages to get clothes clean — no residue, no rashes, no hives. It doesn’t have that “fresh scent” people usually want, but honestly, I’d take clean and safe over perfumed discomfort any day. Definitely sticking with this brand.
