Perfect Replacement
The last one we had, i do not know the brand of it, but it went out on us. This did not cost an arm and leg and has worked perfectly and does what it is supposed to. Doesn't take up much counter space. We love it and use it daily.

Well made stainless steel electric kettle.
The kettle is well made with durable stainless steel. It bill water in less than 10 minutes and functions well. The only thing is , the outside is hot to touch but that's expected since the outside is stainless steel. The lid is also well made and closes with a gentle push. The button on the handle works well to open the lid. It automatically switches off. I use this kettle to make hot water for tea, just to drink warm water in the cold months and when I have a cold and need hot water for cooking. It's an excellent purchase and I recommend this kettle.

We've been using this electric kettle EVERY morning and occasionally 1 or 2 times later in the day for 18 months so it's seen significant usage and we are very pleased with it. Boils water quickly and reliably. Highly recommend. We just bought the glass version for our grand-niece as a house-warming gift.

Excellent Product, Great Price
Our old one died. It was not sudden. It started with a 'works most of the time', if you just adjust it here and there, and kept getting worse. When it became obvious our 2 year old tea kettle had seen better days, we bought this little gem. Its heats water to rapid boil fast. The kettle is just large enough to fill our french press, no more , no less.

Finally a product that there was a lot of thought in the design of! I got the 1.0 literally, it only takes 4 minutes to boil. Very heavy gauge metal, but not heavy to hold. The lid stays in the up position making it easier to fill and air dry after using. Also the kettle can be set 360 on the base!

Why have I never thought of this purchase before is beyond me. It's the quickest cup of tea ever..and definitely better then nuking it in the microwave. The older I get, the more afraid I am of that darned microwave and what it actually is doing to the items being heated up! My tea kettle was always in the way and getting moved around for cooking, and I definitely didn't use it often. I find myself drinking at least a few cups of tea a day now! Easy to clean and boils enough for a standard (coffee sized) yeti or large capacity mug in like 90 seconds!
