Don't recommend
When I first purchased this in April, it had only five star reviews. Once the seller started selling on the Target website if you notice every review has one star. My experience has been that it has flaws particularly very cheap peripherals. The hose that goes to the window keeps falling out, and I have to stuff a sock in the side of one of the plastic panels to keep all cold air from going outside. I keep it cold enough that the fan stays on pretty much all night though I agree with the reported problem about it going off and on. And it’s loud. All in all I do not recommend it. And because of the five star reviews first and now just one stars… seems suspicious.

Broken Product, Zero Customer Support
I was shipped a broken product (drip hose was dented and could not be used without water leaking out and soaking my floor). The floor wood has now began rotting due to the extensive water damage. I messaged Simzlife customer support 3 times, spread out over 6 weeks, and got no reply back from them. I messaged Target after this and they told me: "just go buy the parts you need at a local hardware store". They would not put any fault on Simzlife. Really disappointed in Target on this.

This AC is loud and so inefficient. If there was a chance to give 0 stars I would. Got 2 of these for 2 bedrooms. Each about 200 to 230 sqft. They take way too long to cool down the rooms and are very loud. Do not recommend. Returning this ASAP

Not the greatest
I purchased this unit as a replacement for a Kenmore brand one I had for 10 years. This quality is terrible and does not compare. The hose is paper thin and while it does cool, it did not line up with my window so it is not as efficient. The remote feature is nice but overall, I think there is better out there. It is very loud too. I am returning and on the hunt for a better unit!

I don't like that it doesn't have economic shutoff and the hose is really cheap. So far it works as it should just don't like the fact that it runs continuously making my energy bill high.

Frustrating
AC works but the unit shuts off when it reaches the desired temperature instead of keeping the fan running so it goes from pretty loud to silent but then when it turns back on it wakes you up because it’s so loud. Turns off and on all night and keeps me awake. There should be a setting where you can keep the fan on all the time and the cool only kicks on when needed.

Gets Super Cold
We were unable to locate a unit that would fit our rental’s oddly sized windows. Instead, I purchased this because it can be adjusted to fit and vents out the window. It keeps the room really cold and works well in a big bedroom! It was worth the cost and simple to set up!

Quieter and Better than my Black and Decker
The air conditioner is excellent. It is powerful and reasonably quiet. When set, it keeps a great temperature. The only feature I wish I could have is the ability to keep the fan running while the air conditioner is operating (in AC mode), but that is acceptable given how excellent the rest of the product is.

Cools a large room

Great portable air
I purchased this for a smaller space, and after hooking it up—which was really easy—I was quite pleased. Other reviews discuss the noise. It’s no louder than a fan, in my opinion. Although it’s not particularly loud, I’m accustomed to the noise because I always have a fan running. I have to turn it off because it gets really cold. I purchased a 12,000 btu for my living room as well because I loved it so much. Overall, a fantastic product with very quick shipping.
