Annie Selke - Dash & Albert Milo Ivory Handwoven Jute/Cotton Rug, 5x8, Ivory

I had my eye on this runner for a while, but hesitated due to it being Jute and did not want harshness or shedding. I need not have worried. Like other reviews said it is soft. I am picky and can walk barefoot on the rug. I like that it is reversible. I use a pad underneath but I did not feel that the rug had to have one but it is recommended. The design is unique and I have not seen anything like it anywhere.! To note I do not have the runner in a heavy traffic area as we rarely use our front door so I cannot speak about longevity or pet’s nails.

This is a gorgeous runner. I place it in our front hallway It serves to even brighten the natural light in the area and creates a luxurious feel. Lovely to walk on barefoot. No irritating strands or shedding. Highest quality. It’s an amazing runner and I highly recommend.

Originally ought this rug in 2020 and loved it. So I bought it again on 10/9/23 (2 weeks ago). The weave is loose, edges very wavy, cotton not plush. The rug is light in weight allowing to move around even with a rug pad, the edges are already opening and the jute is breaking and shedding. Disappointed in the quality.

I only have ordered a sample at this point as I'm still deciding where I want to use this rug. However, I will be ordering one. It's soft, reversible and just an all around great neutral rug.

I love this little rug (got mine in 3 x 5). I just redid my bathroom in neutral tones with a soaking tub and was concerned that it ended up looking a bit blah--boring more than soothing. Adding this rug really helped to give the space some character and style, but didn't spoil the relaxing vibe I'm trying to create. Makes things more interesting visually but not busy. The contrasting textures of soft cotton and coarser jute feel good undergo, as well. I will use a cotton mat on top of the rug when bathing to prolong its life. .
