A: It's made in China, not USA. I bought it online based on the answer and found out it's China.

Q: What material is the stick part of this product? I want to know if these can go into compost. The tips can be as they are 100% cotton, I am not sure about the stick.

A: Hey optimistic - Thank you for your interest in the Regular Cotton Swabs Paper Sticks - 750ct - up & up™! These cotton swabs are not biodegradable. Biodegradable was recently removed from paper swabs due to changes in California regulations, as currently, the glue cannot meet the specs as written in the bill. Hope this helps - Josh

I’ve had to go to the ENT twice already because of these cotton swabs. I used them very carefully, just like any other cotton swabs—especially name-brand Q-tips—and never in my life have I had the cotton come off so easily. I’ve gotten it stuck in my ear twice now, one in each ear, and I’ve had to throw them away. Please, I beg you—do not use this product.
