Stop use and ask a doctor if : condition worsens or symptoms persist for more than 7 days,symptoms clear up and occur again within a few days,redness is present or excessive skin irritation occurs,you experience severe burning pain, swelling, or blistering where the product was applied.Directions
Keep carton as it contains important information for usage of the product. For easy removal of embossed backing: pop; peel; apply.Adults and Children 12 Years of Age and Older
Remove backing from patch by firmly grasping both ends and gently pulling until backing separates in middle. Carefully remove smaller portion of backing from patch and apply exposed portion of patch to affected area. Once exposed portion of patch is positioned, carefully remove remaining backing to completely apply patch to affected area. Apply to affected area not more than 3 to 4 times daily. Wash hands after applying or removing patch. Throw away the patch by folding sticky ends together.Children Under 12 Years of Age

Horrible stuff
I wish I had seen these reviews sooner. I put this on my neck and across my shoulder and around the back side of my back. It didn’t do anything at first. No heat or coolness. Then the next morning I had a bad rash in all the areas it put it. So very upset. The icy hot I purchased years ago NEVER did this. After all of the bad reviews, this stuff should be discontinued.I will never use it again.

Left a burn!
My husband rolled this on my neck and upper shoulders to alleviate the tightness and pain I was feeling. After a little while I started to feel a burning sensation. I assumed it was heating but it soon became unbearable. I took a cold shower and tried to get it off. The area continued to burn more severely. When I got out, I looked in the mirror and found what looked like a sunburn all over the areas that were covered with the product. We applied oil, I showered again, and applied Aloe with lidocaine. Thankfully that settled things down. I can’t imagine what could have happened if it was left on longer. 16% menthol is more than they usually have in their products and I wanted to warn others.

Fast relief but could last longer.
Decent product but not outstanding. The relief is noticeable at first, but unfortunately the effect doesn’t last long enough. The texture also feels a bit greasy, which makes application less pleasant. It works for quick relief, but I was expecting more.

IcyHot is a cream that helps a lot with muscle pain. The package is practical to use and its value is perfect because it is worth it. The aroma is strong, but it is partly due to the menthol. It is effective, you feel very hot, but it is part of the effect of the cream and it moisturizes the skin.

Chemical burns?!
Grabbed this because it seemed more convenient than the cream, but within 45 minutes it started to burn horribly. I literally had to leave work. A cold shower didn’t help. Now I have back pain AND burning skin. Thanks for nothing :)))

Horrible
I used this for the first time and my back burned so bad to the point i couldn't sleep. It was red and covered in rash. One of the worst pains I've ever felt.

I love icy hot so much. I used it on my shoulders because I hold a lot of tension there and it provides me with instant relief. The cooling effect and heat feels so good. Adhesive doesn’t stick
I purchased Icy Hot original pain relief XL patches—3 XL patches.They do not stick to the skin—fell off immediately. I do not have oily skin either! I’m annoyed I can’t return them. Wasted $$

Nearly killed me
Used on knee very lightly and received the most severe and intense burning sensation of my entire life. Began during a long car ride and nearly passed out from the pain. Left skin scaly and dark colored afterwards. Genuinely 9/10 pain. Never ever use this for anything

I used to gaslight myself thinking I was just sensitive, but I see so many others gets more then a burning sensation they get burns. Currently hurting due to a rash from this… this is after sitting in the shower trying to wash it off.

Severe Burn
I have used this before with no problems so something is definitely different. I used the original icy hot roll on before laying down and was woken up a hour later to extreme burning that even washing off did not stop. Horrible product

unbearable burning pain hours after applying
