The Step Original Health Club Step - Black/ Gray

Like the ability to add and remove height. Wished they clicked in for more stability but I have gotten use to using it. Well built and arrived early.

I received this step bench for Christmas and have used it 4 times now. It is already developing air bubbles on the top of it. I am pretty sure this shouldn't be happening. Pretty disappointing. I feel that it will not last very long. *review sourced from SPRI

These are well made and the right size. Some of the cheaper ones being sold online are much smaller and less stable.

I bought this online because Target doesn't carry these in their stores. As soon as received it, I opened it and easily assembled the step deck. Immediately, I noticed the abrasive black portion of the stepper, the part that is supposed to maintain weight and exercise activity, had become separated. Unfortunately this was something that couldn't be repaired. (It could've been but I chose not to go the crazy glue route especially after paying $90). In any event, I returned it without a problem. However, I was reluctant to order another. I ordered it through another website instead and I'm very happy with it.

I love the original health club step. It really is just as nice as the steps I use in the gym. The step extra long which is a huge plus and it is very well made. I typically use it with all four risers and there is no give in the step, or wobbling. Another reviewer complained that the center of the step gave in a little when stepped on, but I weigh 150 and the step feels solid as a rock. When I originally purchased the step I felt that it was a little pricey, despite the fact that Target had a great sale price...but after using it I feel it is worth every penney.

This is sturdy and has a large surface area, so can also be used as a weight bench, of sorts. I bought additional risers for more flexibility in the height of the step.

I have heard there are some steppers on the market that are smaller than this but I would not advise buying them as when you are tired, uncoordinated, or even trying to get the full benefit of the step choreography you need to travel the full distance of a regulation sized step. That being said I always used the purple and blue ones in the gym when I took my classes there but from what I can see those for sell on the market come bundled with a DVD which by all accounts is useless and makes the stepper cost more- so this appears to be your best option. Its sturdy, light, and correctly sized. Plus if you do the Kim K. workout you will notice exercise equipment looks sleeker and more modern in black.
