Great For Singles
So far I've used it for two fruit smoothies using frozen fruit. With the exception of two strawberries in the one, it pureed the fruit perfectly! I also used it to pulse veggies for improving a jarred spaghetti sauce, as well as for a salad. I don't know if it's because I'm new to using it or if it's a design issue, but it did over-chop the salad veggies. I might have been heavy handed. And I did have a slight leak on both fruit smoothies. I may have overfilled it though. So my suggestions are to go easy on the pulse until you see what it'll do, and not fill it to capacity. The leaks were very small so I really think that was just me. Super easy clean up where that's concerned too. Overall, extremely pleased!

Awesome
I bought this item because my current chopper had finally died after many, many, many years. I am much older & don't cook like I once did so this is perfect for me. It actually arrived early.

Bad design
The cup has ridges INSIDE so when you go to scoop anything out (with e.g. a silicone spatula), the food gets stuck around the ridges. I only foresee myself using this for ginger/garlic/herbs. It did work great to mince ginger and garlic. That said, I don't see it lasting. It was a gift. I otherwise wouldn't buy hamilton beach because of obvious design flaws/cut corners in any products I've used by them in the past. They clearly have low brand integrity/standards.

Perfect size
This is the perfect size for just the two of us. It’s also very easy to clean and store.

Simplicity
This fits the bill for what I wanted. Something small and not bulky. Chops and bled perfectly fine for someone who cooks for two. The price was fabulous too!

I wouldn't waste time and money on this
I would not recommend buying this item. It does not chop food well. I tried cooked chicken in it, and it left large chunks unchopped.

I love it! I can make salad dressing in minutes. It chops vegetables nicely. It chopped my shallot with ease and in small pieces just right to add to a salad.

Not what I expected!
I thought it would be able to chop up my onions and peppers. Turns out, you cannot fill it more than halfway....because it will not chop.

Not impressed.
I'm not impressed. I've used it multiple times and feel that it turns the vegetables closest to the blade into mush and it doesn't do a good job of pulling the other vegetables down to chop which kind of defeats the purpose of having a 3 cup chopper. I honestly don't believe that the photo showing a full 3 cups of peppers and onions was done with this chopper.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We regret to hear of any dissatisfaction you have experienced while using your Hamilton Beach 3-Cup Food Chopper. For a more uniform consistency, start with pieces of food that are similar in size. For optimal results, cut food into 1-inch (2.5-cm) pieces before processing with chopping/mixing blade and leave room in bowl for the food to be tossed around. This appliance has endured rigorous testing to ensure an exemplary performance, when used as directed. If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact our customer service department.

Awesome!
Great price and value! I had a problem with my old processor because it was so flippin' loud and it would bother my neighbors. This one holds a perfect amount of food and is very quiet. I would definitely recommend.

I have only used this once so keep that in mind. I can't cut, dice, etc. onions myself because it irritates my eyes too much. I made my first ever Pico from scratch. I did rough chop (the best I could before my eyes starting in) then pulsed What I found was that it doesn't dice evenly so if I pulsed to get smaller dicing I got a little more liquid from the onion and jalapeno. I will use it for sure and will hopefully get the hang of it sooner rather then later :-)

A bit small
Obviously it says three cups, but it was smaller than I thought it would be. Does the job though.
