Seventh Generation provides excellent products that are safe for the environment. This mandarin orange and grapefruit smells amazing and cleans very well. It's made from 100% essential oils and botanical ingredients, and is plant based. Hey... the bottle is even made from 100% recycled plastic.

Stuck Pump
The pump was so hard to open I had to twist it counterwise like 40 times before it popped up. Thank you to the other reviewer who had this problem and mentioned that they kept twisting it before it opened. If I hadn't seen that review I would have given up and this entire soap bottle would have been wasted. I noticed there was soap coming out the opening where the pump popped up, which was probably causing the pump to stick down. This probably means the bottle was not upright when shipped to the store and the soap clogged the mechanism that would normally allow the pump to pop up smoothly. The pump needs to be redesigned. The soap itself is fine and I love that it's fragrance free.

Gets hands clean
As someone who is concerned about her little one being exposed to unnecessary ingredients , his hand soap is a must have. It is fragrance free so I don't have to worry about parabens and is dye free. I feel comfortable knowing that my child is using this soap to clean their hands. The soap is great for the whole family and those with sensitive skin. It dispenses easily from the bottle.

I hardly ever leave negative reviews. I really wanted to like this soap for the better ingredients. I use many other products from this brand with no issues. For some reason, this soap did not agree with me at all. I tried three different bottles. It left me with horrendous and painful dryness and cracking on my fingers and hands.

I purchased this hand soap because I needed something simple and minimalist for washing hands in the kitchen. I used to buy products from the 7th generation brand for a long time, and they suit me very well. As for this soap, I like that it doesn't dry out my hands due to its gentle surfactants. It also contains aloe vera and composition is simple yet effective. The lack of fragrance is definitely a plus because different family members prefer different scents, and a fragrance-free option naturally satisfies everyone. I also like that the packaging is not flashy and doesn't create visual noise. The price is normal. I see no reason not to continue buying products from this brand.

Drying horrible for eczema
Bought a 6 pack thinking this will be a great alternative for my Dial antibacterial soap as we’re trying to move away from antibacterial. We need fragrance free for our kids eczema, and this unfortunately ramped up his hands and arms eczema. He has only had a small spot on his wrist and how it’s his whole hands and arm. It’s incredibly drying. Will never buy again

Packaging no longer Sustainable
This rating is for the lack of sustainability. I've been looking for an economical ecofriendly hand soap without fragrances and finally landed on Seventh Generation only to find that you no longer offer larger refill sizes. What a shame. This company is no longer following it's core mission and purpose. It's obvious that once it was purchased by Unilever that profits for the rich shareholders became the priority. I will never buy your handsoap again.

Good brand
We love all Seventh Generation products so we were thrilled when we received this new to product! It works great! My toddlers can use this and it doesn't dry their hands out! The lavender smells wonderful! Seventh Generation makes great plant based products. This hand soap lathers well and has a good consistency. The pump works well. I’ve had issues with other brands having “sticky” pumps or ones that splatter soap all over. That is not the case with these. The scent is pleasant, but not overwhelming like other fragrant soaps. I have enjoyed all the scents I’ve tried. Lavender is my go-to. The price is reasonable in comparison to natural, plant based hand soaps from other retailers. It was packaged well and none of the bottles were damaged upon arrival.

Loved this soap and this company. But discounting the refills changed all that. Just another company greenwashing their plastic waste.
