    Easy to assemble, great style

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This black contemporary barstool was easy to assemble. I used the tools provided and a drill to put it together in 40 minutes by myself. It is the perfect height for my standing desk. The seat cushion is comfortable. The modern style matches my decor perfectly. Having a backrest is important to me and provides relief for my back and neck.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Contemporary Barstool complimentary to test and review from Influenster. The assembly was pretty straightforward. Putting it together was very easy on the hands. I was very happy to see that they included washers with the hardware to assemble the chair. Some of the holes weren't tapped very well, I struggled with putting the bottom rungs in and they don't seat very tight. The chair is very sturdy. It's absolutely gorgeous. I love the sleek black color. The seat itself is very wide and can fit an extra large butt. Myself being 6 ft I had to get up on a tiptoe to be able to put my butt cheek up on it. The padding is plush and luxurious. It doesn't annoy the butt bones, as I just had my hamstring reattached. It has very large plastic tabs on the bottom of the legs. It slides and glides very easily without leaving marks on the floor. This is a beautiful addition to my contemporary household.

    Arrived Damaged

    Each chair came with damage on the back. The last one arrived in horribly shaped packaging and still has the damage on the back of the seat, making it unable to be kept without the damage showing.

    Great value for the price

    We had been living with two ultra-cheap, mismatched counter stools since we moved into our apartment so I read a lot of reviews before buying these ones. They were simple enough to put together if you've assembled flat pack furniture before. Everything was clearly labeled and the diagrams were easy to interpret. They also feel quite sturdy. I really like the seats. The last stools I bought had very cushy seats that broke down fairly quickly, so you were sitting lower than was optimal and also on an uncomfortable, squished, lumpy cushion. These seats are less plush but have a very sturdy base so I feel like they will hold up over time, and they leave you sitting at a nice height to the counter.

    I've been looking for counter height stools for my kitchen island for quite a while. It's difficult to find nice looking, quality stools that aren't super expensive.     good product, terrible customer service.

    Not a bad counter stool once assembled. Honestly was a pain in butt to put together and we ordered 3 of them and one arrived without the hardware needed to assemble and actually use the stool. Very disappointing because you cannot reach the manufacturer via phone, it takes them 72+ hours to reply to emails so ultimately it will take a full 3 weeks to resolve this issue. Target Customer Service has been seriously disappointing on this item - literally told me there is nothing they can do to help. Anyway - if you DO order these, I hope everything arrives for you!
