A: I had trouble but realized I put the cap on upside down! The black ring should be on top, turn until it clicks into place. Then insert into map and it should click again into place

I've bought a few other "floor" instant mops over the years. All of which lacked good grip and cleaning for the floor. We're more an instant paper towel than a floor cleaner. We have frenchies and the little hairs and dust is constant! Great mop and the fabric head is great. Also, the spray on the mop head is far better than any other instant mop on the market. You get a lot of spray solution for the cost and it sprays evenly when it hits the floor.

When I first got this mop, I loved it—it worked really well and was easy to use. But over time, the quality has gone downhill. Now, every time I need to refill the bottle, it's a struggle. The release button no longer works properly, so removing the bottle turns into a wrestling match. I even cut my fingers once trying to pry it loose. Most recently, the internal piece that connects the bottle to the mop broke—it was clearly getting stuck and finally snapped. It’s frustrating to see something that started out great become so unreliable.

I'm a hardcore cotton mop fan. Up until recent years you couldn't tear me away from the classic mop & bucket. But living in a small apartment, I needed to adapt, so for about 5 years I used a Swiffer, I HATED life!! Each and every time I used it caused problems. It was really frustrating. --- Circumstances changed, and today, I tried this Bona version for the first time. OMG, it only cost about $10 more than the Swiffer, but it's LIGHT YEARS AHEAD!!!! --- Bona's head is much wider so you can easily mop a wide area. It's really flat though too....and it pivots so well you can really get those tight corners and inaccessible crevices. --- It's got a comfortable feel too. Instead of an electric button that sprayed formula and always seemed to go wrong, Bona has a hand-sized mechical trigger that sprays a mist that's just the right amount. --- It takes a fair amount more effort to push, but it takes care of the most stubborn, old spots pretty easily, on the first go--spots that Swiffer would completely ignore after dozens of attempts. --- Another nice thing is that you have the option of a disposable pad, or a machine washable pad. I went with the reusable pad since it's much more convenient and scrubby. --- What I love the most though is that it's STURDY. The cheap design of the Swiffer meant that the plastic was always breaking in different places and the disposable pads never stayed well-seated, no problems at all with the Bona. --- If you're a Swiffer user, you should definately switch over!!

Great clean, gets under hard to reach places, good cleaning formula. But this is the second Bona I have owned and both have broken in the exact same way. The swivel joint on the mop head is just too fragile.

LOVE! I have laminate flooring downstairs which is where my kids and Boykin spaniel love to play. Throw in a blue collar husband and the floor is a mess very quickly. I have a shark vacuum mop but it’s a hassle to assemble and clean. I wanted something quick for everyday cleaning and this is it!! I was able to mop my entire downstairs in 5 minutes (1,000+sqft). I didn’t notice a scent to the cleaner, but my floor cleaned so easily. In 10 minutes I was able to assemble, mop, start the pad in the wash, and put the mop up. I am in LOVE with this thing. The only issue I had was with the height. I’m 5’6” and it was a little short for my liking. Ignore the negative reviews and get this thing!
