Shaker Cottage Coat Hooks with Tray - Alaterre Furniture

Assembly IS required. When I ordered, it said “no assembly required” in three places on the product page, but it arrived needing assembly…

Upon opening the box, the first piece was broken. I returned it, and re-ordered another one because it felt like it would really fit my space. The in-store return was easy. I re-ordered another one. Unfortunately when putting it together, the pre-drilled holes were not aligned correctly. That one also need to be returned.

This is a nice shelf but there were a few quality issues. 2 hooks were crooked and a wood piece didn’t fit correctly. My husband was able to plane the wood piece and reset the hooks so I didn’t have to go to the trouble of returning it. Other than that, it’s nice looking and sturdy.

This is a beautiful coat rack that fits perfectly in my space. It is bigger and much sturdier than I expected. The shelf on top is quite roomy and will fit all the odds and ends that seem to pile up at the front door. It was quick and easy to assemble as well. Overall, I'm impressed with this product and so glad I finally splurged on it.

Very nice piece! Sturdy, lots of hooks, nice big tray,easy to assemble and install, excellent value for the price ($59). Exactly what I wanted for my hallway.

Great item, exactly what I was looking for; perfect for my area. Assembly was easy. Shipping was fast. My only concern was needing a second person in order to mount it to the wall, as it was quite heavy. Otherwise, highly recommend!

This is a beautiful wall mounted coat rack with shelf. It is easy to install if you have the basic tools and extra wall mounting hangers. The screws that were sent work only if you can hit your wall studs. It is an excellent value!!

It is a beautiful piece but a little tricky to hang - My husband ended up using longer screws than what came with it - well worth the money and a little extra effort as it is a stunning piece! The Dark Brown/Chocolate is a rich brown that pairs nicely with our other brown and black furniture :) Love the simplicity of the design and use of space!

I returned this item because it had no instructions for mounting to the wall and there was no clear way to do it. It also very heavy.

It didn't take long to put together and easy to put up. Perfectly hanging in my kitchen at the back door for guests and kids to hang their coats and book bags instead of hanging their coats on my dining room chairs.

I ordered the Espresso Coffee color. When I think of espresso, I think dark dark brown. This shelf is not a deep dark brown by any means. More of a darker cherry. This is disappointing because the coffee color cost the most. I most likely will be returning this item.

For $60, I was pleasantly surprised at how well-constructed, and heavy-duty the shelf was. It was expertly packed and easy to assemble if you follow all of the instructions e.g. removing the french cleat.

I am an expert assembler/ installer. This item was impossible to install because the items were packed to ship from the factory before the paint was all the way dry. The cross bar meant to be the hanger had adhered to the back of the shelf base. I tried to gently pry/ encourage it loose but it would not come out with out the whole piece splintering. Also one of the shelf support pieces had chips i the paint on the front corners where it would be very visible. The item was returned to the store.
