It smelled refreshing at first but the smell goes stale after a while. It leaves your skin sticky. I prefer the rose petal or lavender one best.

Disappointed With New Formula

My experience was with the ORIGINAL toner formula. Not this new one. Why do companies mess with a good thing? This new formula is a step down, not a step up. As many others have said, go back to your original formulas!

Amazing Toner!

Having combo/oily skin, this toner has been amazing for my skin. I apply it after cleansing with Thayers pH Balancing Daily Cleanser (which I also love). I like the natural cucumber scent, and appreciate the skin benefits that cucumber adds to this formula. I’ve learned through trial and error that I simply can’t use a moisturizer without looking like an oily mess a few hours later. That being said, I find just cleansing and toning with this toner works for me. It gives me enough hydration, and helps keep me much less oily. Great product!

Works well, but odd smell

I really like the way this feels on my skin but the smell is a little off putting personally. It smells like actual cucumber which isn’t an issue but it is pretty strong. I got the cucumber one because I heard this one is best for the appearance of pores but I wish it was just a little less scented.

The product felt really nice on most of my skin. It was somewhat hydrating however, if I let it dry too much between skin care steps it would start to strip moisture away. But, when I didn't let it dry enough it would create streaks in all subsequent steps. The biggest issue was that it was extremely drying around my eyes, and resulted in flaking dry skin at the outer corners and covering the lid into my eyebrow. Cutting the product out resulted in the problem disappearing. If you have sensitive skin, I would opt for another hydrating toner and definitely would be more selective with application.

Greed, not inflation. Lost a customer.

I love this product and it is my favorite witch hazel product, but I will not be buying it anymore until the price is lowered. In just a few years this item has doubled in price. What was $5 is now $10. It's not inflation, it's greed. I rather go without then give my $10 to a company who is this greedy.

Keep it in the fridge!

You’re either going to love this cucumber scent - or hate it haha. I LOVE it. Makes me feel like I’m at a gucci spa. I keep it in the fridge and swipe on with a cotton pad or square of gauze first thing in the morning to remove any stray makeup from the day before. I also use it at the end of the day before moisturizing. I’m pretty low-maintenance about my makeup and skincare routine, but this is the one product I’ve used daily for years. I also have sensitive skin and have never had issues with it.

Earthy Scent

I love Thayer’s toners! My only complaint is this particular scent is really off-putting. I purchased expecting a cucumber-melon scent, but this product is purely cucumber. It’s my own fault for assuming there’d be melon notes to add sweetness, but I just really dislike the earthy, vegetal scent of the toner. Some people, however, might enjoy the smell, so I realize this is a subjective issue. Apart from the scent, the product works well and lives up to the high quality expected of Thayer’s toners. I’ll stick to the rose scent from here on, though.

Good Product, Awful Scent

This is a great toner, but my God the smell of it is so bad. It smells like a cucumber that got forgotten in your fridge for weeks on end and turned to mush (totally not speaking from experience). If you’re sensitive to scents, steer clear of this. Otherwise, it’s a very good product! I might have to try other variants of this line and see if they perform as well as this one.

Gentle on your skin and effective!

This is my favorite toner. I have a very minimal skin care routine and this is one of the only things I swear by that has helped my skin completely clear up. I HATE the rose smell, so I’m so glad they came out with the cucumber scent. It’s pretty subtle and makes me feel fresh, clean, and relaxed for bed.
