Literally Stinks!
Wasn’t expecting solid wood, but sure didn’t expect plastic shelving. This garbage literally stinks to high heaven of industrial plastic fumes. Cleaners and sprays do nothing, and my place reeks from the fumes coming off it. I’m hoping keeping the windows open another week might help, but I’m not optimistic. I can’t believe I spent money on this. Easy to assemble, but not worth the effort

STINKS!
Wish I'd had a color choice. The only reason I chose this bookcase is because it was the only one I could find in the dimensions that would work for what I needed. Hate the dark color. It is sturdy enough. The composite wood that is made of smelled so horrible we had to open all the windows as we put it together. I left it outside for 2 WEEKS but the smell was still so strong! I wiped it down with cleaning wipes, soap & water, and finally a baby coat of furniture polish. Smell is still there but at least now it's only when you get close. Wish I'd found another option in these dimensions. =(
